a searing truth about terrorism is that (while both can be considered too quietly forecasted events) we are not speaking about a tempest striking the ground with lightning, but the calculated cold smile of a computer virus flashing neon-light warnings in the dark of a black-out. and something wild unfurls when we lash out at each other like carnivorous flowers after acid rain.

the danger follows the moments that we bleed. it is what remains beneath the skin that claws at the festering wounds; not the band-aids slowly peeled off the flesh reveal what humans have always feared, but the glass shards mirroring themselves. we look like the monsters locked in fairytales when in pain.

it is this small, shivering animal inside us, that will try to make reason of the world because that is what we were raised to do, no matter which god/s you might belong to.

it is the same soft thing that will come with its teeth bared, eyes closed, gnawing it’s own bones.

and therefore i say, this trepidation is rightful. this anger is true.

hate is not.

do you tear one man’s rosary off his chest the way you drag another woman’s hidschāb through mud?

there has not been a time when the blinded did not cause wars. the religions of this world have a body count higher than sane minds want to bear. history never fails to remind us that we all enter the world drenched in blood, fists and daggers.

but i like to think that we, as the people, can prove better than this. 

please. do not make yourself a pawn in this well-conceived game of theirs. you are human by birth, later human by choice. do not pull the trigger in front of the closed door. do not hurt those who keep getting bruised no matter where they turn to, until they finally have no other choice than to become what you, same as society, has labelled them with.

because this is exactly what this terrorism wants.

and as we are not the women and men that have walked this earth before and after, do not judge their dead hands when you ponder whether to whip or value one another.
