19: what do they fight about? what are their arguments like? how do they make up?

- logan and virgil tend to only fight about stupid things. virgil will say he’s going to do the laundry, and then logan will do it instead and virgil will be furious. furious i tell you

- sometimes . . . sometimes though, virgil gets stuck in his own head and his cognitive distortions and then he lashes out at logan, who does his best to leave the situation but often ends up lashing out right back. 

- they always take some distance from each other for a few hours to have calmdown time, and then they come back and make up

- they talk things through, gently touching each other’s shoulders and faces and upper arms. then they cuddle 

29: how to they handle disasters or emergencies? minor injuries? sickness?

- they’re both shockingly calm in the middle of crisis situations. logan assumes a leadership role while virgil goes on the defense of everyone around him. once the crisis passes, they both have meltdowns from the stress

- minor injuries? virgil panics a lot, but is usually calmed relatively quickly. logan is calm and unfazed 

- sickness? virgil is pretty chill. logan loses his shit. he HATES being sick

36: what’s their greatest strength as a couple? greatest weakness? 

- greatest strength: they understand each other very well

well, mine were never natural but i’ve been dyeing my hair various shades of orange and red pretty consistently for the last 12 years with a dozen different kinds of dye. the process of getting all the red out took about 7 hours of me sitting in the chair at the salon and i’ll still have to go back in a couple months and do it again to get the pieces that were too stubborn to bleach white. the pastel throughout hides it well but that will likely wash out in a few weeks. i imagine natural hair won’t have this kind of issue though! virgin hair always takes color and bleaching easier than pre-treated stuff if i’m not mistaken. 

anyway, life’s short and nothing matters. if dyeing your hair makes you happy, do it. don’t let anyone talk you out of it with phantom regret.

Sora knelt before a low table, staring at two flower arrangements.  The first was simple and stately, each stem placed in a way that accentuated its shape.  The second…  It was overdone and awkward.

Sighing, Sora placed her cutters on the mat beneath her vase and flowers.  She had decided to create a new ikebana piece beside her mother’s latest arrangement, hoping to emulate a master’s technique.  Instead, the comparison stifled her, and she fell into her bad habits more readily than ever.   

Her lower lip protruded as her eyes slid from one vase to the other, narrowing with each pass.  She jumped when her mother knelt beside her.  Sora’s frustration morphed to panic.  She had planned to dispose of her work before it disappointed Toshiko.

Toshiko took over Sora’s former occupation of floral scrutiny.  Sora was beginning to sweat when her mother murmured, “You’ve improved.”

Sora twitched.  “Mom- really?”

“Mm.”  Toshiko gestured towards two stems near the center of Sora’s arrangement.  They were from different plants, and only one bore a flower, but they seemed to naturally wind together.  “This is beautiful.  I’d recommend removing a few stems to pull this into focus.”

A flood of embarrassed pleasure overcame her, and Sora remained silent as she sorted through the unexpected emotion.  At last, she replied, “Do you think I can remove things without damaging that part?”

“Of course.”  Toshiko offered a warm smile, so precious and rare.  “You have a tender touch.  But I can help, if you’d like.”

I was like, sort of expecting that people would think I had tall energy? And dude! Look! That’s what I’ve been getting!

I’m also thinking about one good url friend who mentally wants to believe I’m 6′ 2″. By this, I mean that he has been ANGRILY refusing to believe my actual height for four years. When we finally have a chance to meet irl I give a 70% chance he’ll crawl on his knees because he wants to keep pretending I’m taller. Part of that is because I roleplayed a character who was 6′ 2″, so he got mentally thinking that was “me” too. He has been extremely, extremely, extremely upset and in denial of the truth... 

...since finding out I’m 5′ 2″ (157.5 cm).

So like, I’m average “short” for my country’s overall demographics and lots of my friends are the same height as me, but physically I’m definitely not tall. XD

I’m so fascinated that I seem to radiate tall energy online. I have a few theories as to why but now I’m really darned fascinated.
