And there it is. Derek's guilt at hurting him plain to see, making Stiles want to scream because Kate is fucking dead but she still won't stop ruining them—ruining Derek.

All the progress Derek makes, all the genuine smiles he lets others see, all of it vanishes after one nightmare with her in it. Stiles knows healing isn't linear, knows it like the back of his hand, knows it personally, but he still hates this.

éponine, cosette, and courfeyrac have been in the cast of wicked as elphie, glinda, and boq respectively for about a year already and enjolras is new meat, the newest fiyero. (éponine and cosette were previously in the national tour together and sometimes they like to improvise a kiss at the end of for good just because.) grantaire is the guy who greenifies éponine every night lol.

it’s hard to maintain professionalism when you’re developing feelings for your costar, but alas, miss thénardier is already married (not to montparnasse. rather an oc from this fic whom i will bring back here). her husband is currently playing the title role a few blocks away in phantom of the opera (there’s another hint as to my fc for this oc, wink wink) and honestly the spark between them’s kinda died by this point, but they stay together for the sake of their son (her stepson; husband was a widower when they got hitched). enjonine is endgame here. there may or may not be morally questionable actions involved.

okay so i answered an ask about this already so if you want more details here it is BUT basically: grad student derek, tattooed stiles, living in new york city. it's going to be about 40k when it's finished (and it's almost finished!!!!) and it's just a lot of sex and derek kind of working through his past with kate, and it's a human au but the fire still happened and here's another snippet for you (it's long and unedited i'm sorry):

“Why are you following me?”

He spun around.

Blocking the one way he could leave, Buzzcut stood in the middle of the aisle with his eyebrows raised, making him look unimpressed but inquisitive.

He was so caught off guard at being confronted—and by the way the light shone in the honey brown irises of the man he had a serious infatuation with—that he stuttered out a response. “I—I’m not,” he said, and then winced. “I’m not following you. I’m looking for a book.”

“You’ve been following me off the bus all week,” Buzzcut said. “And I wouldn’t bother reading that, Rose Madder is hardly King’s best book.”

He looked down at his hands, realizing that Buzzcut was referring to the book he had picked at random. He needed an excuse as to why he was following this stranger off the bus. An excuse that wasn’t, “I thought you were intriguing and I can't get you out of my mind.” He put the book back, keeping his hand on the shelf.

“My place is only a few blocks from here,” he finally said. “It probably seemed like I was following you but I was just going home.”

💕 What is your favorite fic that you’ve written?

Oh this is a tough one!

I love Healing Wounds that I wrote for Haven because it's a full length novel and it took me a couple of years and I just have so much affection for it.

The fic I had the most fun writing, that wrote itself in 12 days, is I'm the ghost of my mistakes. It's also my most popular fic so clearly my love for it shines through in my work.

And this answer would not be complete without In the shadows of karma for the @sterek-roundrobinchallenge because you, @blue-eyedbeta and @halinski were such amazing writing partners. It was such a fun experience and we came out with an amazing fic at the end of it.

🦈 Which character is the toughest to write?

Hmm. Honestly, if I find a character difficult to write, I just... don't write them? I believe in making things easy for myself 😂 I struggle slightly more with Derek because I tend to want to write him as the strong and silent and broody type, which he kind of isn't. He's quite wordy and snarky. But if I write him too much like that, he starts sounding like Stiles and then there's no real contrast between the characters. Striking the balance can be difficult.

📗 Do you want to write something outside of fanfiction? If so, what about?

I will probably never get around to it because, well, let's face it, I barely even wrote fic anymore, but I would love to write a ghost story. I have a few ideas - one set in a forest, one about a Viking ghost ship. Idk, it would probably creep me out too much 😂

the rooftop scene from chapter 23 of inthaf or anything from this fic (ahem ahem cough cough hint hint 🤧)
