Everyone he comes across from the people who knew him/knew about him is surprised about the kind of adult the known trash Cale Henituse became.

1) He's a— according to his own child, her teachers an the other parents— incredible parent. The kind one sometimes hears about from some lucky peers: patient, gentle, very caring and always paying attention to everything his child says, no matter how tired he is.

2) Despite his very obvious mischievous nature, he's also more mature than anyone would expect, not only drom him, but from most people his age. He is pretty young.

3) He's really smart and sharp. There's a businessman somewhere cursing whoever spread the rumor that Cale Henituse doesn't know how to do anything but drink all day. There's no fooling him.

Just twenty something ogCale being basically like the guy from the chick class hunter is filial.

And the first people they meet are King Alberu and his elegant husband, who happens to be the minor villain Cale Henituse. They had been on a date and Rok Soo and co had literally crashed their picnic.

Choi Jung Soo wants to know how did that happen. Did they transmigrate into a fanfic of the nivel he read? Or was this some kind of butterfly effect caused by some other transmigrator? Why is that minor villain smiling softly and giggling behind his hand like a maiden in love??

Turns out they were still in their honeymoon phase. Since years before. OgCale is now known as a beautiful and kind consort prince and acts like the ara-ara character he is. For the way he is described, Rok Soo is almost expecting to see him going around with his eyes permanently closed.

Then they start facing Arm. The switch between the calm, gentle beauty and the feral guy who hit the enemy with a broken beam as if it were a javeline gives everyone a whiplash.

Gotta admit most of what I have is:

• OgCale and Rok Soo's long time online friendship

• OgCale purposefully and carefully choosing scary yet stylish features for his avatar's face an Rok Soo choosing at random and ending up with a more delicate face, only for both of them to have it changed to their own faces with the mirror thingy. OgCale laments his lost scary face. He had enjoyed not being a pretty boy slash outstanding beauty for once since his puberty. Rok Soo doesn't care much, but he does celebrates OgCale's face— both the lose of the scary one and seeing his soul-healing actual one.

• Pink haired OgCale because he had wanted to try other color for a while but had been too wary of ruining his real red hair. That's the color he inherited from his mom.

• Alberu being basically the leader and face of their group because he's pretty strong and no one else wants to.

• OgCale jumpscaring everyone by entering to the Soo's house through the window. Rok Sop had given him the metaphorical keys months earlier and he wanted to see if it was even possible to use the window like that. Also, for some reason, he had really high stealth. The rest of the group (minus the Soo's) hadn't even know him yet, hence the scare.

• Alberu the workaholic getting a headache everytime he thinks on what his oh so dear family could be up to while he's literally trapped there.

• OgCale realizing he's going to miss Lily's competition and Bassen's 16th birthday on the second day of the game. He already had his present ready and the camera to take pictures of both of them safely stored in his backpack.

• Most people's reaction to seeing OgCale's face being "I thought we all got our avatars changed to our real faces. How did you do that?"

• Choi Jung Soo and Choi Han (I had forgotten to write Choi Han here, lol) not knowing the other knows Kim Rok Soo until there's a reunion and they both just point at each other like the spider-man meme.

• OgAlbeCale fluff. They marry in joke for an event and then months later they realize they had been living together and acting like an actual couple for the last half a year.

• Rok Soo's shitty uncle refusing to pay for Rok Soo's hospital bill and trying to get the doctors to disconnect him or take the gear off, only to have Deruth intervene, offering to pay the bill. Rok Soo ends up being moved to Cale's hospital room in request of Deruth and Violan, who later realized their phones (Rok Soo's and OgCale's) had the same mascot keychain.

• The game finally finalizing, only for part of them not to wake up (like in the canon SAO), but is for unethical science experiments that may or may not be related to the oncoming apocalypse (unlike SAO).

• Alberu waking up and being greeted by his aunt Tasha. Then proceeding to go as soon as possible to the hospital where his unofficial brother and his basically husband should be, only to find out OgCale isn't waking up. Rok Soo is already awake and looks like he wants to murder someone.

• Alberu presenting to OgCale's family while OgCale is still unconscious in the same room. He tells them they got married apin the game, in part as a joke and in part for an event. How they thought it would be funny because then they could call each other ex-husband once they were out. How things were easy because they were friends. How much he appreciates him and how much OgCale appreciates them. How OgCale's main motivator to finish the game was his family, how worried he was for them and how much he wanted to know about everything he had missed.

They keep asking about OgCale and Alberu keeps talking about him and trying not to crumble because no one knows what is wrong, why he isn't waking up, when they were supposed to see each other for the first time— and so he talks about his hobbies, how much he likes photography, how he would stop to pet every single animal they met, despite knowing they weren't real, how he would crack up witty comments all the time, or hum and sing around when he was relaxed. He also talks about how frustrated he got when he realized how long would take him to take his body back to his original state, yet still tried to be positive about it. How he said as soon as the medic gave him the O.K., he would start doing sport, something fun he could do alone or with others. How he had told everyone in their group that they could join him, or how he had wanted to invite them to an ice rink once they could.

• All the Henituse family knows Alberu and OgCale are in love.

• Tasha comes back from attending something while Alberu is still talking, and she realizes her nephew has a crush. Then realizes her nephew's first crush, possibly first love, is one of the few who hasn't woken up yet. Hissss.

• Sometime after everyone else wakes up, the "apocalypse" still attempts to happen, but the experiences of the game actually gave fruit to a big advantage: most people who had been SAO players didn't panic when the monsters appeared and adapted faster. As a result and because the incident with the unethical science experiments thingy left some clues that something was going to happen, society didn't collapse and more than apocalypse it was a "I guess we have monsters now" change. Still traumatic for a lot of people, but not end of the world bad.

• Humanity finds out their world was always one of fantasy, but the monsters are dealt with.

• OgAlbeCale still get together and marry.

• At some point before OgCale wakes up, Lily drags Alberu aside to give him advice in conquering her orabeoni. Alberu takes note.

• At some point Rok Soo gets adopted by the Henituse, but I'm not sure when.

OgCale had ended up in the same room as Alberu Crossman, who seemed fine overall, even if he was trying too hard to be likeable, and Lee Soo Hyuk, who also seemed fine overall, even if he knew Rok Soo must had learned a lot of his most chaotic tendencies from him. They both are mature people (or at least appear to be) and he doesn't think any of them has bad cleaning habits. Actually, he's pretty sure they both are more the type to have some order and routine, while being flexible enough to keep up with whatever bullshit ogCale knows Rok Soo pulls.

So, although he's not thrilled about trying to keep his act around two very smart people who share room with him, he thinks it's going to be fine. They're by far not the worst roommates he could have.

He's so wrong.

Their cleaning habits are not a problem. OgCale is right on both of them being orderly people. Except for particularly busy days (exams week), both of them keep their sides and things in neatly.

The problem is that their routines and habits clash in almost everything else. If it's not that they both need to use the same space at the exact same time, it's that they need (read as want) exact opposite things.

He has lost the count of how many times they had woke him up at unholy hours of the morning because one of them wanted to take a shower and the other was already there. If they can get up two hours before needing to go to class, why can't they wake up 15 minutes earlier than that and use one of the many clubs' showers? But nooo. They just have to use the single one in their room and interrupt OgCale's hard attained sleep.

And who on earth thought it would be a good idea to put the cooling artifact in the kitchen? Everytime Soo Hyuk feels slightly warm, he turns it on and puts it at maximum because, according to him, it doesn't cools down the rest of the room otherwise.

You know what is also in the kitchen? Alberu when he's stress baking. You know what does not appreciate the cooling artifact's maximum temperature? Alberu and most of his pastries. Everytime he's baking and the cooling thing is on, he will lower it to minimum, claiming it's ruining his dough. Everytime, Lee Soo Hyuk will answer that he's going to burn them alive with both the cooling artifact so low and the oven on.

And they're like that for almost everything.

Funnily, the only one who hasn't started an argument so far and who with the others don't have a problem is OgCale. Which, anyone would have assumed he was going to be the difficult roommate. A part of him is convinced that the only reason they fight so much is because Soo Hyuk was Rok Soo's hyung first while Alberu got him to call him hyung faster. They're most likely jealous of each other's hyung positions. He wonders if he should get Rok Soo to call him hyung, too. Maybe then they'd join forces against him and stop bitching at each other.

He complains to Taylor and Cage once and they jokingly advice him, telling him to make out with his roommates or move with Taylor and Cage and make out with them.

One day, he enters in them having yet another argument. And he is done.

OgCale: if you two don't shut up I'm going to grab them both from your vests and kiss you both silly until your tongues are too tired to move.

Both of them: ...

Lee Soo Hyuk, trying to process that: *Soo Hyuk.exe stopped working*

Alberu, a little too fast: Olaf complex giant.

Lee Soo Hyuk, immediately: You have the hobbies of a grandma.

OgCale: That's it. *Proceeds to somehow pick them both up and threw them to the nearest sofa* After this, we're going to figure out a system you two can adapt to, or I will lose it.

Alberu: if we do that, do I get more kisses?

OgCale: If you can stop fighting, you can take me on a date.

Lee Soo hyuk: three dates.

OgCale, a little amused: *snorts* That was not up to bargain. This is not the price of the history.

Alberu, not above using puppy eyes: Please?

OgCale "weak to cute things" Henituse: Haaah. Fine. Now come here—

Not exactly the same but something similar happens in Noble of Heart by Verzy. It's a really great fic. You can jump to chapter three to four for Alberu's appearances or downright to chapter four if you don't care about the context of their interactions.

Fuck Our Problems (also from Verzy) is pretty much focussed on these two being a horny couple and dealing with the war. You can guess how the dark elf reveal went here. It's a pretty funny and interesting fic but obviously has angst since, y'know, war.

Another one is I reject the maidens by C0rr3ct. This one is hilarious and feels like a big fever dream. I think it was one of the first "OgCale into a fictional world" fics I read. Feels a bit like that Simpsons scene where everyone puts their fruits in the floor of the bus for a fruit race and cheer on them. Just, your favorite OgCale ship is the fruit. Hasn't updated in a little while but it's not abandoned as far as I know.
