Out into the depths and the wind and the cold we went...paving a path for each other one by one. We made our way to our halfway point and shelter goal, where we would rest, have lunch, and warm our booties by the fire. I got my trail name there...π...I was warming my behind, and since my snow pants were a bit wet from the snow, steam was coming off of it. So: Steamy Butt...lol πππππ€·π½ββοΈ We finished lunch, got our photo taken by a couple that arrived to take our place, and pressed on through the backcountry. We passed tops of trees and learned about them, the land, and where we were. Taking breaks when we needed to, this snow was DEEP, and Graybaby (@graybabytravels) was such a trooper and did great trekking through our tracks. We made it safely back to our fork in the road and the beautiful view - and celebrated our return. ππ Then we headed back to our adorable cabin to rest from our adventure. We napped, and relaxed before having a delicious pasta dinner together. And then we played a team cooperative game about the desert (ππππͺπΌ) a couple of times before nestling in for the night. Such a perfect day. βΊοΈπ Check out @theventureoutproject and @tc_frost βs wonderful trip report for more fun and details here: http://www.ventureoutproject.com/blog And be sure to also take a look at: www.ventureoutproject.com for upcoming trips and to register for one or two or more if youβd like!
