This’ll be VERY Tenna and Dreemur family centric (No spam, sorry)

So I’ve been thinkin

I know we all here love a solid father figure character and all that, totally do. And I 100% see where this is coming from with Tenna. Like the way he sits with us on the couch while we play video games, the way he talks so fondly of the kids (particularly Kris), all that. And honestly I still sort of do with my take on him, but hear me out ok. Ok.

hear me out. Tenna is 100% a child of The Divorce. Absolutely. It influenced him terribly and, imo, in a way that seems oddly similar to how a person who has to deal with their PARENTS fighting rather than some by stander or by someone who was more involved personally like another adult family member. (Just saying from first hand experience, the way he acts when he thinks a fight is gonna happen is VERY VERY similar to how I feel. And I’m most certainly not someone who was involved that much, either!)

He thinks of himself as part of the family (as he has stated multiple times) and probably considers himself a Dreemur (But, you know, he couldn’t change his last name to that because then everyone would call him Dreemur plus then where would his marketability go. No one wants to watch a show run by a guy called Ant /hj [because there no WAY anyone is gonna casually call him Dreemur] but I’m getting side tracked)

But then there’s also the fact that he likely has feelings of needing to be responsible or at least try his best to look after Kris and the rest of the kids to make sure they’re happy (Until the crash out but. Well. He was at his limit man. I’d probably freak out too if I were him.) He enjoys spending casual time with them and playing games, being as supportive and entertaining them the best he can.

The best way I can say this in a way that makes sense is that Tenna gives off more the vibes of much much older sibling who’s been very parentalized because the actual parents are kind of sucking at their job.

Tenna was there to watch Kris grow up but he was also there to watch the Dreemurs crumble right there with them. All the poor guy wants is his family to be back to normal again. Could you imagine hearing your parents yelling and screaming and hearing doors slam and loud stomping and crashing against the floors while trying to stay calm so you can help your baby siblings not get too afraid of your family all at the same time. Letting them play video games together while you watched after them because someone had to. Making sure they’re comforted and have the best sleep they could feasibly get on the couch downstairs because your parents were fighting a bit too loud upstairs for them to sleep so you play them some calm little cartoon. Can you see the vision. Can you. Ok. I believe in older brother Tenna supremacy

yeah i see that stray pixel. yes i see it very well. hey if you think about it it just adds to the deltarune charm (well known for its COMPLETE LACK of stray pixels)
