Their house smelled like beer and sweat. Which meant the party was dying.
Bodies still crowded the living room, music still thumped through the speakers, and someone was loudly arguing about video game hockey in the kitchen, but the energy had shifted hours ago, from drunk and chaotic to lazy and half-dead.
Logan leaned back against the couch with a bottle hanging loosely from his hand while Dean flirted shamelessly with two girls near the staircase.
Typical.
Tucker was passed out in an armchair.
Also typical.
And Garrett⊠âGet your damn feet off my table,â he said, glaring across the room at a freshman defenseman currently ignoring him completely.
Logan snorted into his beer. âYâknow,â he drawled, âyou get more aggressive every year.â
Garrett flipped him off without looking away from the kid. âIâm two seconds away from murdering half this team.â
âOnly half?â Logan asked, smirking.
Before Garrett could answer, the front door swung open hard enough to hit the wall. Cold air rushed inside.
And then:
âJesus Christ, this place smells disgusting,â a familiar female voice said dramatically.
Logan looked up automatically.
Y/N Graham stood in the doorway wearing leggings, an oversized Briar hockey hoodie (which was, by the way, stolen) and the kind of expression that suggested sheâd rather be literally anywhere else. Still⊠she was here.
Her duffel bag slid off her shoulder as she kicked the door shut behind her.
âOh, thank God,â Dean said immediately. âAn attractive person finally showed up.â
Y/N rolled her eyes. âStill using that line?â
âStill working?â he winked.
âItâs really not,â she said casually.
Garrett frowned from the kitchen. âWhat are you doing here?â
She stared at him blankly. âHello to you too, sunshine,â she said sarcastically as she moved to give him a light kiss on the cheek.
âWerenât you at practice?â he asked as he leaned down to receive it.
âYeah⊠like three hours ago.â She checked her phone for the time. âI texted you.â
Garrett pulled his phone out, checked it, then shoved it back into his pocket. âDidnât see it.â
âNo way,â she deadpanned. âYou mean you ignored your phone during a party? Thatâs so unlike you.â
Logan huffed out a laugh before he could stop himself.
Y/Nâs eyes flicked toward him briefly. Just for a second. Like she only now acknowledged he was there.
Then she walked straight past the couch and headed for the kitchen like she owned the place. Which, honestly, she kind of did at this point. Especially when Dean instantly grabbed her bag from the floor and took it to the living room like second nature.
Nobody questioned it anymore.
Not when sheâd been hanging around the team since their freshman year. Not when she knew all their names, their habits, their schedules. Not when she walked into their house without knocking and immediately started stealing their food.
âIs that my pizza?â Dean yelled, watching her take a container out of the fridge.
Y/N opened the takeout container. âIf you have to ask, theyâre not yours anymore.â
âThatâs stealing,â he complained.
âThatâs survival,â she replied, already placing the leftovers in the microwave.
Dean pretended to be annoyed about it. But not really, already accepting the terrible fate that his leftover pizza didnât belong to him anymore.
Garrett, meanwhile, was still watching his sister with narrowed eyes like she might spontaneously set the house on fire if left unsupervised for too long.
She was too much like Garrett. Same sharp mouth, same stubborn confidence, same tendency to look at people like she already knew exactly how to win the argument before it started.
It made her annoyingly difficult to intimidate.
Logan had learned that pretty quickly.
The first time they met, sheâd looked him up and down and said:
âYou definitely look like a hockey player,â she said.
Logan laughed. âWhatâs that supposed to mean?â
âThe hair. The ego. The vacant expression. Very on brand.â
That had been two years ago.
And now she was just⊠always there. Curled up on their couch during movie nights. Stealing all their hoodies. Yelling at the TV during games. Bullying Dean with terrifying efficiency. Part of the furniture, basically.
Y/N hopped onto the kitchen counter and pointed at Loganâs bottle. âIs that the last Diet Coke?â
âNoâŠâ he lied, looking away because he knew sheâd fight him for it.
âGive it to me,â she ordered.
Logan held the bottle out lazily. âThen come take it, Graham.â
Her eyes narrowed immediately.
Garrett didnât even look up from his phone. âDonât encourage her.â
âToo late, man,â Dean said.
Y/N slid off the counter and walked over. Logan expected her to snatch the bottle and leave.
Instead, she stopped directly in front of him.
Close enough for him to notice the cold flush in her cheeks from outside. Close enough to smell winter air and something faintly sweet underneath it.
She tilted her head and pouted cutely.
Logan grinned slowly. âThatâs not gonna work on me, princess. Iâm not your brother⊠or Tucker.â
âBut⊠thereâs only beer left in the fridge,â she said sadly.
âCome on, Johnny,â she said softly. âYouâre really gonna let Garrettâs little sister die of dehydration?â
Logan grinned slowly.
âPretty sure Coke does the opposite.â
âWow,â she said, unimpressed. âAnd they let you into college.â
Dean barked out a laugh somewhere behind them.
Logan looked down at her, still smiling, and willingly handed over the bottle. She smiled and grabbed it before moving to the living room with his soda and Deanâs pizza.
But across the room, Garrett was watching the entire interaction with narrowed eyes.
He knew hockey players couldnât be trusted around his sister.
Good thing Logan agreed.
And he had nothing to worry about.
âSo⊠what are you doing here, Baby G?â Tucker asked sleepily, barely lifting his head from the armchair as Y/N practically threw herself onto the couch with Loganâs stolen Coke still in hand.
âMy roommateâs having her boyfriend over tonight,â she said easily, stretching her legs across the cushions. âShe asked me to disappear for a few hours.â
Dean looked offended on her behalf. âAnd your first thought was to come here?â
Y/N took another sip of the soda. âWell, yeah. You idiots always have food.â
âThatâs weirdly touching,â Dean admitted.
âItâs not meant to be.â
Garrett pointed at her from the kitchen. âYouâre not sleeping here.â
Y/N blinked at him. âI literally wasnât asking permission.â
âYou should,â he replied.
âFine,â Y/N said dramatically. âIâll just sleep in some motel then.â
Garrett looked horrified. âAbsolutely not,â he practically shouted.
She smirked immediately, seeing heâd fallen for her teasing.
âYou are not staying alone in some random motel.â
Y/N threw her hands up. âYou seriously need to stop acting like I require constant supervision.â
Garrett stared at her blankly. âY/NâŠâ
âWhat?â she asked knowingly.
âTwo days ago you got suspended from practice for fighting another girl.â
Y/N scoffed immediately. âShe deserved it.â
âWait, what?â Dean perked up instantly.
Y/N scoffed again. âSome girl at practice kept acting like I stole her routine or something.â
âYou did steal her routine,â Garrett muttered.
âShe wasnât performing it correctly,â she said, offended.
âAnd you threw a skate guard at her.â
Her jaw dropped dramatically. âIt barely hit her.â
Logan barked out a laugh. Tucker and Dean joined immediately.
Y/N pointed at them. âThank you.â
Garrett looked exhausted. âI hate all of you.â
âThatâs not true,â Y/N said sweetly. âYou love me.â
âI tolerate you because we share DNA.â
âAww.â
She leaned back deeper into the couch cushions, entirely too comfortable for someone who technically didnât live there. Not that anyone was surprised.
At some point over the years, Y/N had stopped being Garrettâs little sister visiting campus and started becoming part of the house itself.
Logan sat on the end of the couch and looked at her.
She looked exhausted.
There was still faint glitter near her eyes from practice, her hair messy from being shoved into a rushed ponytail, oversized hoodie sleeves covering half her hands.
Cute.
The thought came and went so fast Logan barely registered it.
Garrettâs sister.
Mouthy figure skater. Professional thief of their food. Human headache.
Nothing more.
âHey,â Y/N suddenly said, tossing a pretzel at his chest. âWhy are you staring at me like that?â
Logan caught it automatically. âIâm trying to figure out how Garrett and you came from the same genetic pool.â
âEasy,â she replied. âI got the personality. He got the anger issues.â
Garrett flipped her off from across the room.
âSee? Iâm right.â
Y/N smiled proudly.
âAnyways,â she said, taking another sip, âyou boys donât mind me. Just finish your party. I can sleep on the couch.â
She sounded completely unconcerned about it already, like the decision had been made hours ago and everyone else was just catching up.
Before Garrett could argue again, she shifted deeper into the cushions, grabbing one of the throw pillows and shoving it under her head.
Logan snorted softly.
âSheâs nesting,â Tucker said.
âI do not nest,â Y/N mumbled, eyes already half-closed.
âThatâs my pillow, by the way,â Dean pointed out.
âCommunism.â
âIâm pretty sure thatâs not how communism works,â he replied.
Garrett crossed his arms. âYouâre not sleeping down here while the house is still filled with people.â
Y/N cracked one eye open to stare at him. âGarrett. I grew up with you. Trust me when I say none of your friends scare me.â
âThatâs because you have terrible survival instincts.â
She smiled lazily. âMaybe. But Iâm tired enough not to care.â
And honestly, she looked exhausted.
The dark circles under her eyes were faint but there, her voice rough with sleepiness after what was probably hours at the rink.
Figure skating looked elegant until you actually watched the training. Then it just looked painful.
Logan had seen enough practices to know that much.
Y/N shifted again until her sock-covered feet ended up in his lap without warning.
He looked down at them. Then at her.
ââŠseriously?â he asked, annoyed.
âYouâre warm,â she said simply, not even bothering to move.
Garrett rubbed a hand down his face like this entire room was raising his blood pressure by the second.
Within minutes, her breathing evened out.
Asleep.
Even with the music and chatting around her.
Dean noticed first. âWow. Sheâs actually dead.â
Garrett immediately grabbed the nearest blanket and tossed it over her without a second thought.
Something in Loganâs chest tightened strangely at the sight.
Not because Garrett was protective, that part was expected. But because Y/N relaxed almost instantly after the blanket covered her. Like she trusted, without even thinking about it, that her brother would always take care of her.
Garrett glanced toward Logan then. âDonât let anyone wake her up.â
Logan frowned. âAnd why am I responsible for that?â
âBecause I know you wonât anyway,â Garrett said, clapping Loganâs shoulder once before heading off to probably end the party.
It wasnât even said like a warning.
That was the worst part.
It sounded like trust.
Dean followed right behind him, still muttering something about his stolen pillow, while Tucker dragged himself upstairs looking half-conscious.
And then suddenly, the living room was quiet.
And Y/N was asleep beside him.
Or technically⊠on him.
Logan looked down carefully. Her feet were still in his lap, tangled under the blanket Garrett had thrown over her earlier. One of her hands was tucked under her cheek, hair falling across her face messily.
She looked peaceful asleep.
Softer.
Not like the sharp-mouthed girl constantly arguing with everybody in the house.
Just tired.
Logan shifted slightly, testing to see if he could leave.
Y/N immediately made a small sound of protest and moved closer unconsciously, pressing her legs more firmly against him like she was searching for warmth in her sleep.
Logan froze.
Completely froze.
ââŠseriously?â he muttered under his breath, throwing his head back.
Because now if he moved, sheâd wake up.
And somehow that felt illegal considering how exhausted she looked.
He leaned his head back against the couch, staring up at the ceiling with the exhausted resignation of a man realizing the universe hated him personally.
This was ridiculous.
The same girl who once laughed at him for walking into a glass door.
The same girl who stole his fries every single time she came over.
The same girl who called him âJohnny Boyâ specifically because she knew it annoyed him.
There was absolutely no reason for him to suddenly be hyper aware of the weight of her legs across his lap. Or the heaviness of her breathing. Or the hair falling across her face.
And yetâ
His eyes dropped back to her face.
A strand of hair had fallen over her cheek. Without thinking, Logan reached over slightly to move it away.
The second his fingers brushed her skin, Y/N frowned softly in her sleep before relaxing again almost immediately.
Trusting. Comfortable.
Like she never once considered he could be anything except safe.
Something twisted strangely in his chest.
Logan pulled his hand back fast.
âYeah,â he muttered quietly to himself, staring back at the ceiling again. âThis is exactly how people die.â

Jungkook wouldnât say he doesnât have sex. Heâs single and has the occasional one night stands and casual hookups.
However, this was different. You were different. Heâs insatiable when it comes to you and the entire night goes by and he finds that he cannot keep his hands off of you - and vice versa, of course. After the shower, you and him did watch a movie, though it ended with you right on top of him. He thought if you and him didnât go to the bedroom that there wouldnât be any temptations, but of course the couch served no better.
Jungkook soon grasps that this was only a one time thing - that after tonight, you and he would have to go back to what you both know. You would be someone he cared about deeply, but still his best friend's sister and completely off limits.
With that in mind, Jungkook allows himself to be consumed by you. His eyes adore the way your breast bounces in his face when you ride him, his mouth immediately wrapping around your perky nipples and he never wanted to stop.Â
The fucking soon went towards the kitchen when you and Jungkook took a break to get some snacks, yet for some reason it ended up with you on the kitchen island. His tongue licks through your fold hungrily, nails digging into the skin of your thigh to keep you right in place - though you werenât running from him. His head bobs back and forth in rhythmic motion while his free hand grips your breast. Your moans bounces off of the walls of his kitchen, only further encouraging him to suckle against your clit.
Your hands grip at Jungkookâs hair, hips buckling against his tongue and he allows it, wanting you to feel the utmost pleasure he could give.
You cumming against his tongue, thighs quivering and toes curling, doesnât end there. No, somehow you still fall to your knees and take his cock in your mouth. Those eyes stare up at him as you suck him in, tongue swirling around his tip like a lollipop. It was so sinful coming from you - even after he fucked you so many times in such a short amount of hours. Those same innocent eyes that would stare at him when he visited your brother now held a deeper meaning. âDid you know I liked you?â rings through his head as your hand wraps around his shaft and you begin to pump while you suck.
Doing this is still surreal to you, you think. For as long as youâve wanted Jungkook, being here in his home was like a dream youâve never known you wanted until it happened.
âYouâreâŠreally good at this.â Jungkookâs cheeks are warm and red when his voice cracks a bit - that, and youâre still looking up at him with those eyes.Â
Placing a hand onto your face, Jungkookâs thumb runs along your cheek, your mouth taking him deeper and deeper. Heâs moaning softly, watching the way his cock disappears and reappears inside your warm, wet mouth. Youâre very beautiful, he thinks, and nothing you do would change his perspective of you. Sure, it would be harder to look his friend in the face after fucking his sister in so many ways, but he tells himself that this was a one time thing. That he and you would get this out of your systems and go back to normal; whatever normal was.
Jungkook doesnât want to cum in your mouth and further degrade you, but you refuse to let him leave. Youâre suckling with little air, eyes tearing but still, you want him to.
Jungkook and you sit quietly at his breakfast table, both naked and sweaty. The shower you and he took hours ago seemed to be a complete waste of time. You and he are eating - nothing special, just something heâs managed to whip up to replenish the the energy you and he fucked out of one another.
Jungkook glances up at you as you eat, silently slurping the noodles into your mouth. His mind wanders to how in the world he was going to stop thinking about you in this light. This couldnât happen again, no matter if you and he wanted it.
Jungkook already feels the disappointment sink in. The sun is coming up as itâs early morning and eventually youâd have to leave. Heâd drive you home, of course, as he wasnât going to let you do the walk of shame. Still, a part of him feels as though maybe heâs took advantage of your vulnerable position.
Jungkook tries to piece together the puzzle pieces. âDid you know that I liked you?â keeps ringing into his head and his memories are attempting to piece together any clues that he missed out on besides the ones he caught onto earlier.
âThere you go again.â
Your voice startles Jungkook out of his thoughts.
âYouâre thinking far too much into things again.â you murmur, eyes glancing up at him.
âI feel like an asshole.â Jungkook responds.Â
You exhale softly. Of course the regret was going to settle in. It was hard to not look at you and not see his best friend. âJay-â
âItâs not just about Jay.â Jungkook shakes his head. âIâŠhow drunk were you?â
You furrow your brows. âNot that drunk.â you giggle, a bit uncertain. âI didnât come onto you because I was drunk, Jungkook. Maybe it gave me a little courage but-â
âI took advantage of you, didnât I?â Jungkook was jumping into a deeper hole the longer his mind kept thinking about everything.
âWhat?â you hiss. âJungkook, can you be real with yourself?â You shift in the chair.Â
âI did, Y/N.â Jungkookâs eyes are hard and full of disdain. âIâŠI hadnât realized that maybe your feelings for me drove you to do what we did.â
Your own body is warm as Jungkook speaks.
âI shouldâve stopped it after you told me last night. It shouldnât have gone further.â
âIs this your way of rejecting me easily?â
Your tone doesnât have any emotion in it, but your face does sadden a bit. Jungkook immediately feels a jolt in his heart but heâs unsure how to respond.
âIâm not a little girl whoâs oblivious to things, Kook.â you press further. âCan I ask you a question?â
Jungkook nods. âOf course.â
âIs Jay the only reason?â
Jungkook blinks.
âIs he the only reason why you and IâŠcanât be anything more?â you tilt your head, those eyes staring at him so intently that he was becoming small himself. âOr is that you donât see me as nothing more?â
Jungkook is taken aback, but heâs never thought about it until now. You were always off limits that anything concerning you that wasnât platonic never lingered in his mind longer than a few minutes.Â
âI care for you.â Jungkook murmurs.
You roll your eyes. âLike a sister?â you ask, scoffing bitterly.Â
âNo!â Jungkook interjects. âI told you I havenât seen you like that in years, Y/N. Itâs complicated.â he feels like ripping his hair out, but he only has himself to blame for putting you in this position. He shouldâve fought harder with his own emotions and attractions. âIâŠwant you to not settle for someone like me. You deserve someone that loves you. Not someone who goes behind his friends back with his sister.â
âCan you stop mentioning him? Fuck Jay.â you hiss. For years, itâs always been Jay. Jay said this, Jay did that, Jay doesnât want you doing this. You were tired of hearing about your brother and his constant interjection of your life. âI want you to give me a reason why you and I canât be together. Without you mentioning him.â
Jungkook swallows. The kitchen is quiet. You and him were in a staring battle, though his soft eyes donât mimic your hard ones.
âThere isn't one, right?â you ask, tilting your head.
There wasnât, and that lingers on Jungkookâs mind for far too long. He enjoys the company you give. You were a kind and smart person, and you had the same amount of fire in you that he finds intriguing. You know him just as much as he knows you, years of friendship that lead to this very moment.
Jungkook doesnât realize you have gotten up until youâre directly in front of him.
âYou want me more than you think, Kookie.â you murmur, seating yourself onto the table, pushing his plate of food aside. âWhy do you keep fighting it?â
Your foot places itself against his thigh, your eyebrow arching.Â
Jungkook gulps, chest filling with air. You were doing it again - playing with him until he gave you what you wanted. He bites his lips when your foot inches closer to him, and heâs ashamed to find that his cock is already hardening like a horny teenager whoâs experiencing sex for the first time.
âYouâre not going to stop, are you?â Jungkook sighs, yet he makes no action in pushing himself away from you.Â
âWhy donât you stop me?â your lips are forming a small, seductive smile thatâs full of mischief. âProve that you donât want me, Kookie.â
âI do want you.â Jungkook answers.Â
âThen whatâs stopping you from having me?â you shrug your shoulders. âJay canât hate the both of us forever.â
Your legs are opening for him just in time for Jungkook to catch sight of your pussy. Youâd think that after hours of fucking, that he wouldnât be interested in continuing. However, he was a simple creature and he was absolutely interested.
âHow do you know Iâm the right man for you?â Jungkook places his hands onto your thighs. Theyâre soft, causing his palms to tingle and his arms to erupt with goosebumps.
âHow do you know youâre not?â you retort.Â
Touche, Jungkook thinks. He squeezes your thighs, hands inching closer and closer to your pussy.
âIâŠI shouldâve asked for a date first.â Jungkook leans closer to you, as do you. âInstead of fucking you all night.â
You canât help the giggle that comes from your lips. Jungkook kisses up your chest, to your neck and then your jaw. Â
âYou still have time.â you murmur, leaning your head to the side so that Jungkook has more access to your neck. âBut for nowâŠyou can just fuck me again.â
Jungkook chuckles, but he complies.Â
Jungkook pushes himself up from his seat, chair scraping against the floor. His cock is already hard and throbbing just as your pussy is wet and clenching.Â
Jungkook grasps his cock and centers himself at your hole, his lips immediately connecting with yours as he pushes himself inside. Your hands lay at the low of his back as he begins to enter you slowly, your lips dancing with his.
Jungkook doesnât get tired of feeling your walls around him and heâs positive he probably never would. Years of attraction building up had led to the insatiable feeling the two of you were going through and it wasnât going to stop until you were out of his sight.
Jungkook disconnects from your lips to inhale, his speed increasing. The table beneath you squeaks and scrapes against the floor, but neither of you care about the added noise.Â
âYour pussy feels better after each time.â Jungkook grunts, eyes glancing down to where his cock is pounding into you. Youâre already creaming around him, a sight that he could never get tired of.
Your nails dig into his skin, encouraging him to fuck you harder. Deeper; however. Your own breathing increases and your eyes snap shut, grunts and moans coming from your throat.
âYouâre so beautiful, Y/N.â Jungkook continues to speak. âI wish you could milk my cock all the time.â
âWho s-says I canât?â you stutter a response. âYou could fuck me every nightâŠyouâre just scared to.â
Your walls squeeze around Jungkookâs cock as he begins to pound deeper inside of you. Maybe your teasing was encouraging him.
âYou couldâve been fucking me this whole time if you werenât acting like a scared little boy.â
Jungkook removes himself from you and proceeds to roughly turn your body around. He enters you again and immediately continues his brutal pace. The new position allows a deeper entrance that you feel in your stomach.
âIâm not scared.â Jungkook says against your neck, his tongue licking your skin. âMaybe I had respect for you.â
Jungkookâs right hand moves between your legs, touching your wet clit. His fingers work harshly against it, circling the throbbing bud as he fucks you.Â
âBut youâre such a slut that you want me to treat you like one.â Jungkookâs teeth sink into your neck possessively, his fingers working your clit. Skin slapping echoes throughout the room, evidence of just how good he was fucking you.
âI could be a slut with someone else who isnât scared of my brother.â you taunt further. You find this Jungkook to be hot.
The hand that once holds your waist comes up to clench your neck. He presses you against his chest, hips rutting inside of you. His wet hand slaps your clit and you yelp at the sudden impact, pussy squeezing his ramming cock.
âI thought you said I still had time, baby?â Jungkookâs voice dropped a few tones and it was driving you crazy. âI canât just tell him I fucked you all night, right? How you were begging for more and more like the little whore you are.â
Your thighs are shaking, and Jungkook knows you are being overstimulated. He doesnât stop his aggressive pace, or his assault on your clit.
âIs that what you want? You want me to tell him how I came in you each and every time?â Jungkookâs teeth sink into your neck again, no longer caring if heâs left marks behind or not. The thought of you going to someone else and being this way was something he now knew he didnât want.
âFuck, Kook,â your hand grasps his wrist to try to stop him - or slow him down - but Jungkook doesnât let up.
âNo, Iâll have to spare the details, right?â Jungkookâs cock springs in and out of you so good that your eyes are rolling. âAnd Iâll have to pretend I asked you out wholesomely. Itâll be our little secret, right?â
Wrong.Â
Just as youâre cumming all over him, juices covering your thighs, Jungkook isnât far behind. His cum mixes with your own and it shoots so deep into you that youâre both squirming with pleasure.
A knock sounds on the door and both you and Jungkook are alert. Heâs still inside of you when it sounds again, this time louder.Â
âWho could that be?â you whisper.
âKook?â
You stiffen, and Jungkook pales. His heart pounds outside his chest and you can feel it right against your back.
âGo in the room, Y/N.â Jungkook untangles himself from you. âNow.â
Youâre left wide eyed and slightly trembling.Â
Jungkook pushes you lightly. âHe has a key, Y/N. He only knocks before he uses it.â he hisses in a low tone.
Jungkook slams the door to his bedroom shut before locking it. His heart is pounding far too loud for him to process anything.
âStay here.â Jungkook says, pulling up his sweats and tying it around his waist. Down the hall, he can hear Jay using the spare key heâs given him. âAnd donât make a sound or move.â
Youâre terrified yourself and nod your head. You tuck yourself beneath Jungkookâs covers, something youâd do when you were a child and afraid of what the darkness brought. This time, the darkness being Jay.
Jungkook opens his bedroom door just as the front door opens. He closes his door and makes his way down the hall. âJay?â Jungkook calls, his footsteps growing closer to the front door.
âKook.â Jay says, eyes glancing at his friend.Â
âEverything okay?â Jungkook tries not to look as terrified as he was. Jay didnât scare him per se. However, his reaction to finding out what has happened with you here wasnât going to be less than ugly.
âYeah.â Jay nods. âUm, have you seen Y/N?â
Jungkookâs hand squeezes and he furrows his brows. âSeen Y/N?â He shakes his head softly. âWhy-â
âShe didnât come home last night.â Jay continues. âAndâŠI knew that but.â Jay lets out a low sigh. âIâŠI tried calling her and she didnât answer. AndâŠI went to one of her friends' houses.â
Jungkook attempts to hide his feelings. He drove you and your friends last night. They obvious know who he was and-
âAnd they said you drove them home.â Jay says. âAnd that Y/N stayed with them.â
Jungkook releases a breath. Your friends had covered for you - in a way.
âYeah. I did.â Jungkook nods. âUmâŠI shouldâve told you, man-â
âI know she went to a club.â Jay scoffs. âShe forgets I follow a few of her friends.â Jay doesnât say that itâs for the sole reason to keep up with you. âShe wasnât there when I got to her friends. She isnât home andâŠâ Jay glances at Jungkookâs hands. â...did she say anything to you before you dropped her off?â
Jungkook shakes his head. He felt horrible for putting Jay in this position. He doesnât deserve to be lied to. He was a caring older brother who wanted what was best for you. Jungkook was a man of his word. He had every intention of doing the right thing - of asking Jay if it was alright for you and him to date. It would be easier than him finding out that he went behind his back and fucked you the entire night.
âDamn.â Jay sighs, glancing back up from Jungkookâs hands to his face. âYou still do that,â he states.
âWhat do you mean?â
Jay shrugs his shoulders, taking a few steps closer. Jay is a few feet away.Â
âY/NâŠshe doesnât realize that everything I do is to protect her.â Jay doesnât bother answering Jungkookâs question. âShe just thinks Iâm the asshole older brother who keeps her from doing anything.â
âSheâll come around.â Jungkook quips. âJustâŠyou should just talk to her.â
âI should.â Jay scoffs with a nod of his head. âWhen we were kids, KookâŠâ Jay begins, glancing around the apartment. â...you always did this thing, you know? When you were lying, youâd squeeze your hands together.â
The room is quiet and neither of the two speak. Thereâs realization in Jayâs eyes, one that causes Jungkookâs heart to jolt again.
âYou havenât stopped squeezing your hands since I got here.â Jay continues. âAndâŠI wouldnât know why if I didnât know that my sister was here with you.â Jay takes another step closer, as Jungkook remains frozen. âAnd sheâs been here with you the entire night. Her phone location told me.â
Youâre dressed and contemplate running down the hall when you hear a loud crash. Your nerves are pounding through you as you listen to everything Jay was saying.
How in the world did he get your location? You never gave it to him.
Anger now seeps through you and you open the door to his bedroom just as you hear a loud crash from just down the hall.
âHow long have you been fucking my sister, Kook?â Jayâs voice booms off the walls. You make your way towards them, eyes widening as Jungkook is on the ground, holding a bloodied nose.
âAre you fucking insane?!â you screech, making your presence known.
âAm I insane?â Jay scoffs. âGet in the car.â
âFuck you.â you hiss, feet making their way towards Jungkook.
âYou had enough of that, havenât you?â Jay barks back. âYouâve lied and said you didnât know where my sister was but somehow she magically appears.â he scoffs.
âJay,â Jungkook begins. He wasnât going to fight his friend and heâd gladly take the bloody nose.
âIâm not fucking Jungkook!â you screech, a lie, of course. But Jay looks ready to land another fist on Jungkook and you werenât going to sit by and watch that. âI got drunk last night and called Jungkook because I knew you would act insane!â
Jay glances at you, then down to Jungkook.
âI begged Jungkook to let me stay here tonight so I can sober up.â you continue.Â
âWhy couldnât you stay with your friends?â Jay asks, skeptical.
âAnd deal with their boyfriend drama?â you scoff. âI slept in the bed, Jungkook slept on the couch.â
You were a better liar that even Jungkook was beginning to believe. Was lying a good idea, however? It would make Jay even more suspicious of the two of you if you and he suddenly ended up being a couple.
âI knew calling you meant that I had to deal with your judgment.â your voice drops. âAnd I put Jungkook in the middle of itâŠâ
You want to hold Jungkook, but you canât. If Jay was going to calm down it meant that he had to believe this lie.
âWhy the fuck do you have my location? How do you even have it?â you hiss, glaring. âYouâre such a fucking nuisance-â
âItâs for your own protection!â Jay hisses back. âYou lied about everything last night what the fuck am I suppose to think?â
âIâm not a little kid, Jay. I should call the police.â you cross your arms. âThat has to be illegal.â
âFuck you, Y/N, seriously.â Jay waves you off. âYouâŠyou know why I jumped to conclusions regarding you and him.â
Jungkook doesnât bother speaking. It was better if he just sat here and allowed you two to bicker back and forth.
âKook.â
Your eyes glance down towards the bloodied-nose man and your heart jumps. Damn Jay for being such a creep. You were going to get a whole new phone entirely.
âIâm-â
âIâm sorry.â Jungkook shakes his head instead. You swallow, widening your eyes. âIâŠshouldâve called you and told you that Y/N was here.â
âI shouldnât have jumped to conclusions.â Jay murmurs. He lets out a sigh, feet making their way towards Jungkook and gives him a hand up from the ground. âItâs-â
âI get it, man.â Jungkook chuckles. âNo harm done.â
From behind Jay, Jungkookâs eyes lock with yours.
âWe should get going, right?â you say to Jay, your eyes never leaving Jungkookâs. âYou made enough of a mess.â
Jay groans. You were absolutely right.Â
âIâm going to go get my things. Go wait in the car.â you grumble, walking past him. âYouâre buying me breakfast because of your insane fuck up.â
With a few more apologies, Jay does walk out and into his car while Jungkook grabs a towel from the kitchen to wipe his nose.
âKook,â you say a few moments later. You couldnât dwell for long or Jay would grow suspicious again. âIâm so sorry-â
âPlease stop apologizing.â Jungkook says, tone a bit muffled with the towel.
Your brows knit and you moan lowly. Your feet make their way towards him and you grab his hand.Â
âDoes thisâŠchange anything?â you ask, a look in your eyes that shows just how you were feeling.
Jungkook sniffles, lowering the blooded towel. His lips twitch upwards and he leans closer to you. âNot at all.â he murmurs, placing a kiss onto your lips.Â
It just meant that courting you was going to be a lot harder than he expected.
okokok. College AU where Kaiser is the president of a frat, so of course he hosts lots of parties where people drink and dance and have funâŠ
anyways, Kaiser is in an kind of friends with benefits situation with the reader, so theyâre not really dating but heâs like her best friend (who happens to also kiss her on the cheek and put his arm around her waist hehe)âŠ
so at one of said parties, some freshmen try to flirt with readerâŠand Kaiser is not happy.
sorry this is long!! love you!
âđšđđ đ„đąđŠđąđđŹâ
a/n: omg i LOVE this request and love you too! thank you for making it so detailed as well lol, it really helps
and thank you so much for being so patient with me, this request has been in my inbox for a while đ„Č (i promise i am getting to other requests soon and in the order that they were requested in!)
(art credits go to GZGZ_ggg on X)
you werenât even trying to attract attention tonight.Â
youâd stuck to your usual: simple jeans, a cute top, your hair done just enough to look like you put in effort without really putting in effort. the only reason you were at this frat party in the first place was because kaiser had insisted.Â
âmandatory attendance,â heâd said, throwing his arm around your shoulders. âyouâre basically my first lady. what kind of frat president would i be without my hottest friend here?âÂ
friend. right. thatâs all you are. friends with benefits. with stupid little perks like him kissing your cheek when heâs tipsy and tucking you into his bed when you fall asleep after screaming his name the whole night. definitely just friends.Â
youâre leaning against the hallway wall outside the kitchen, sipping your drink and trying to make yourself look busy when a group of freshmen walk past and double back immediately.Â
they look like they just walked out of an H&M sale and bathed in cheap cologne. one of them â tall, cocky, thinks heâs charming â leans a hand on the wall near your head.Â
âhavenât seen you around before,â he says. âyou new?âÂ
you glance at him with the flattest expression you can muster. âjunior.âÂ
âno way,â the second one laughs, looking you up and down. âyou donât look like a junior.âÂ
you deadpan. âthanks, i guess.âÂ
âweâre new here,â the first guy says, flashing a smile thatâs definitely gotten him out of a few parking tickets. âtrying to meet people. whatâs your name?âÂ
you open your mouth to give a polite-but-firm brush off, until a familiar arm snakes around your waist.Â
kaiserâs grip is strong. tighter than usual.Â
âsheâs not interested,â he says coolly, his chin brushing your temple as he leans in close. âmove along.âÂ
the first freshman laughs, not backing off even a little. âbro, relax. weâre just talking.âÂ
âyeah,â the second one chimes in, smirking. âdidnât realize we needed clearance to have a conversation.âÂ
you roll your eyes and try to step out of kaiserâs hold, not because youâre on the freshmenâs side, but because this â his whole clingy, overbearing energy â is starting to wear thin.Â
âmichael,â you mutter under your breath, nudging him with your elbow, âitâs not a big deal. seriously.âÂ
he doesnât move. doesnât even flinch. just looks the guys dead in the eye and goes, âit becomes a big deal when people donât take a fucking hint.âÂ
and thatâs when freshman number one decides to press his luck.Â
âokay, but... youâre not even dating her, right?â he gestures between you two with a smug little tilt of his head. âso technically, sheâs single.âÂ
the silence that follows is dangerous.Â
kaiserâs arm drops from your waist, and for a second you think heâs actually going to let it go. but then he steps forward, chest to chest with the guy, and suddenly the air gets colder.Â
âwhat did you just say?â kaiser says, voice low and sharp.Â
you grab his arm. âmichael. donât.âÂ
the freshman shrugs, trying to look casual but clearly rattled by the shift in energy. âiâm just saying. if youâre not her boyfriend, then ââÂ
âthen you should shut your fucking mouth,â kaiser snaps.Â
his whole posture shifts. heâs no longer the smug, charming frat president who knows he looks good in every photo. now heâs just furious, protective in a way that has nothing to do with titles and everything to do with you.Â
âyou think youâre smart?â he continues, stepping in closer. âtrying to loop-hole your way into hitting on her? you think that makes you clever?âÂ
the freshman stammers, looking to his friend for backup, but the guyâs already backing away.Â
kaiser doesnât let it go. âyou think just because i havenât put a label on her, you get a shot? you think you get to decide what she is or isnât to me?âÂ
âmichael,â you say again, more firmly now. âstop.âÂ
his chest is rising and falling a little faster. his jaw is clenched so tight it could crack. finally, he steps back, running a hand through his hair like heâs trying to calm himself down.Â
the freshmen scatter without another word.Â
you sigh, glaring at him. âwhat the hell was that?âÂ
he meets your eyes, still tense. âi told you. i donât like people thinking they can touch you.âÂ
âyou donât own me,â you snap, the words sharper than you meant them to be. âweâre not even together.âÂ
kaiser blinks at you like the idea is foreign. like he genuinely forgot that you're not officially his. âyeah. and?âÂ
you stare at him. âand you donât get to act like this. you donât get to flip out just because someone hit on me. if you want that kind of say in my life, then you need to ââÂ
âthen maybe we should be together,â he says.Â
your breath catches in your throat. âwhat?âÂ
he shrugs like itâs not a big deal, but his voice is hoarse and low. âi donât want to do this halfway anymore.âÂ
you open your mouth. close it. your heart is thudding too fast for you to come up with anything clever.Â
âyou donât have to say anything now,â kaiser murmurs, stepping closer again, more gentle this time, like the storm has passed. âbut if some idiot ever says youâre âtechnically singleâ again, i want it to be a lie.âÂ
This story was inspired by a wonderful story I read on Tumblr, written by my friend @flamesofauburn
I asked if I could write something similar, except my character was going to be completely opposite to hers. Thank you for inspiring me!
Melissa Schemmenti x Stevie Hill (Original female character- sister of Jacob and Caleb Hill)
Chapter One: Off Limits
âGuys, guys!â Jacob says as he runs into the teachers' lounge. Melissa and Barbara look up from their phones, and Melissa sips her coffee. âArenât you going to ask me whatâs wrong?âÂ
âNah,â Mel says. âThereâs always somethinâ wrong with you.âÂ
Jacob sighs, sitting down. âWell, anyway, my sister is coming to visit!âÂ
âYou have a sister?â Ava asks, walking into the room. âMore annoying Hill siblings?âÂ
âOh, Stevieâs not annoying,â Jacob says. âSheâs actually really quiet and shy, nothing like Caleb and me.âÂ
âWell, I like her already,â Barbara says.Â
âWait, hang on a sec, where is she stayinâ?â Melissa asks. âCos youâve already taken my spare room and my couch.âÂ
âUh,â Jacob says, twiddling his ear. âI can sleep on the floor?âÂ
âYouâre insufferable,â Melissa says. âStop invitinâ people to my house without askinâ first.âÂ
âShould I tell her not to come?â Jacob asks, and Melissa sighs, standing from her seat.Â
âNo, Jacob. Just donât do it again!â She says, slamming her mug into the dishwasher and storming out of the lounge.Â
âOoh, youâve done it this time,â Barbara says.Â
âWhy have I never heard of Stevie?â Ava asks, pouring an insane amount of sugar into her coffee.Â
âIâm sure Iâve mentioned her before,â Jacob shrugs. âSheâs just nothing like me.âÂ
âCanât wait to meet her,â Ava says.Â
âI thought Stevie was your dog,â Mr Johnson says as he walks into the room.Â
____________________________
âJacob, quit pacing!â Melissa shouts. âYouâre gonna burn a hole in my floor.âÂ
âIâm low-key so excited for Stevie to stay!â Caleb says. âCan she come to my room and watch a movie?â He asks Mel, and she softens, squeezing his cheek.Â
âItâs your room, hon, you can have whoever you like up there,â she says, and he hugs her excitedly. Melissa doesnât care about the family reunion thatâs about to happen; she only cares about her popcorn and her show. And if the reunion gets in the way of that, sheâll be pissed. Sheâs already kind of pissed that Jacob invited someone to her house without asking. The Hill brothers were taking over her cozy home; it was starting to look and smell like boys. She loved them both, of course, she did, but she did not want her house to turn into a youth hostel.Â
âWhen she gets here, keep the noise down?â Melissa reminds Jacob. âAnd stop chewing your thumb!âÂ
âI justâ I havenât seen her in so long,â Jacob says. âShe went off travelling with her girlfriend instead of going to college, and I just donât understand her,â he explains.Â
âGirlfriend?â Melissa asks, brow raised.Â
âOh yeah, our parents got two gaybies,â he says.Â
âWhatâs Stevie short for anyway?â Mel asks curiously, popping popcorn into her mouth.Â
âStephanie,â Caleb says. âLike Stevie Nicks. Thatâs who sheâs named after,â he explains, snuggling against Mel.Â
âCute,â Mel says, and Jacob squeals as his phone buzzes.Â
âSheâs pulling up now. Oh my god, Caleb, this is it! Our baby sister is here.âÂ
Melissa watches as Jacob swings open the door, and there stands a young woman with blonde, wavy hair hanging over her shoulders and a suitcase by her side.Â
âStevie!â he says, pulling her into a hug. She stiffens, and Mel recognises the action anywhere. It is of a guarded person, someone who doesnât let themselves be hugged or touched often.Â
âJacob,â she mumbles, âYouâre squishing me.âÂ
âHey sis!â Caleb says casually from the couch. Stevie waves, and when her eyes land on Melissa, she blushes, smiling at her.Â
âHello, you must be Melissa. Thank you for letting me stay here,â she says politely. âIâll be out of here in a few days. Iâm going to book a hotel.âÂ
âWhy?â Mel asks. âDid Jake tell you to?âÂ
âN-no,â she says quickly. âI just donât want to get in your way,â she says. âYouâre already letting these goons stay here.âÂ
âYeah, there isnât really much room for you here,â Caleb says. âIâm the only one with a bedroom.âÂ
âWell, and Melissa,â Jacob corrects. âObviously.âÂ
âYou could share with Melissa!â Caleb says, and both Mel and Stevieâs eyes go wide.Â
âOh, no, thatâs fine,â Stevie says. âIâll book the hotel.âÂ
Melissa sighs. Something about this girl intrigues her; she really is nothing like her brothers. She is a calm, quiet energy compared to them. She looks like she would cry if you said boo to her.Â
âWell, listen, Stevie,â Mel says, putting her popcorn down. âWhy donât you have the bedroom? The boys can fight over the couch,â she smiles.Â
âWhat!?â Jacob and Caleb say in unison, and Melissa glares at them.Â
âThatâs not fair!â Caleb whines, and Melissa gives him a stern look.Â
âHey, you wanna find your own apartment or are you gonna let your sister have the bed?â Mel asks, and Caleb huffs.Â
âFine,â he says. âIâll go and get my stuff.âÂ
âOh,â Stevie says. âYou donât have to do that, really. I can sleep on the floor. Iâve slept on floors before; this one looks comfortable.âÂ
âTheyâll be fine,â Melissa says, getting up and heading to the stairs. âIâm going to put new bedding on and fumigate the room for you.Â
Jacob watches as Melissa heads upstairs, and then he grabs his sisterâs arm. âMelissa is being nice to you!â he says. âDo you know how much of a big deal this is? She only likes Caleb and like, Barbara Howard.â
âBarbara who?â she asks.Â
âDoesnât matter, what matters is that she clearly likes you,â she says. âThis is confusing. Itâs throwing everything off balance.â
âSorry?â Stevie says. âIâll just leave.âÂ
âNo,â Jacob says. âYou have to stay now, you have a room! A room that I pay for,â he mumbles. Stevie sits down on the couch, her hand moves to the plastic, and she smiles. âOh yeah, donât even ask about that.âÂ
âI wasnât going to,â she says, pulling out her phone to scroll. She wasnât really sure why she was here. She never really stopped to get to know her brothers once they were all adults. They went to college and got their jobs, and she travelled the world with a woman called Simone. Simone was gorgeous, the complete opposite of Stevie, personality-wise. She was loud and outgoing, and Stevie definitely wouldnât have done half of the things she did if it werenât for Simone.Â
She smiled sadly as she thought about her. About their last trip together. They were in Greece when Simone said she wanted to see other people. She wanted to open up their relationship, and Stevie agreed because she loved Simone and she wanted her to be happy. Simone just wanted to fuck other people, though.Â
Simone now has two children with Eduardo and lives in Spain. And Stevie has nowhere to live, a suitcase and a car to her name, and no job. But at least she wasted all those years travelling and not getting a degree, right?Â
âI hope youâre happy,â Caleb says as he drags his bags down the stairs.Â
âYeah, Iâm actually not,â Stevie says. âBut be mad at me, sure.âÂ
âIâm going to the gym,â Caleb says, dumping his bags by the couch. âShotgun the couch,â he says to Jacob, who groans loudly.Â
âStevie, hon!â Melissa calls. âCome bring your stuff up here.âÂ
Stevie looks at Jacob, who shrugs and turns to go to the kitchen. She stands, tucking her phone into her jeans and grabbing her suitcase. She lugs it up the stairs, admiring the framed photos on the wall on the way up. Melissa was gorgeous, and she couldnât believe a woman as gorgeous as her would be single and living with two boys.Â
âI hope this is okay for ya,â Melissa says, fluffing a pillow.Â
âMelissa,â Stevie sighs. âI wouldâve slept on the floor; you didnât have to do this.âÂ
âNo arguments,â she says. âThe boys have been fighting over the room anyway; this settles that.âÂ
âThank you,â Stevie says sincerely. âCan I give you some money?â
Melissa scoffs. âNo, hon. I donât need anything in return. You seem sweet, and Jake is really excited youâre here.âÂ
âHe is?â Stevie asks.Â
âSure he is. He hasnât shut up about you all week,â she smiles. âI can see why youâre sweet.âÂ
âSweet,â Stevie repeats. She had been called many things before, but sweet might have been her least favourite. She didnât want Melissa to think she was sweet. She wasnât sure what she wanted from Melissa, honestly.Â
âWhat do you like to eat?â she asks, putting Stevieâs suitcase on the bed. âI love to cook. I feed your brothers every night, surprised they arenât the size of this house yet,â she laughs.Â
âOh, Iâll eat anything,â Stevie says. âYou can leave that,â she insists as Melissa starts to unzip her suitcase.Â
âNah, itâs fine, Iâll help you unpack,â she says.Â
âMelissa, I would really rather unpack later,â Stevie says, her eyes widening as the older woman flips open the suitcase and looks down at the huge massage wand and dildo tucked into the mesh pocket of the case.Â
âRight,â Mel says, slamming the suitcase closed. âI am so sorry, Stevieâ I, I need to go and umâ prep dinner. I need to do that,â Mel says, flustered and clearly embarrassed. She puts her hand on Stevieâs shoulder apologetically and exits the room, nipping into her own bedroom.Â
Stevie groans, throwing herself onto the bed. Great, now things were going to be awkward. Melissa definitely thought Stevie was a freak, and now she would need to find somewhere else to live much sooner than she had hoped.Â
Melissa, however, wasn't the slightest bit disgusted. She was embarrassed, of course. Why did she feel the need to open a stranger's suitcase for them? Of course no one would want that! Stevie had her flustered, though. She couldnât explain it. The girl was so much younger than her, young enough to be her child. She was also Jacobâs sister, whom he had never mentioned until this week. That alone intrigued Melissa more than it should have. But her smile, the way she smiled with all of her teeth and her whole face. The way she blushed when she locked eyes with Melissa for the first time. She was different to what she had pictured, and it excited her in a way she hadnât felt in a long time.Â
Melissaâs chest rises and falls quickly as she sits on her bed, needing a minute to compose herself. Her mind wanders back to the dildo, and she wonders if Stevie uses it on herself or on other people. Heat pools between her legs as she lets her mind wander, and her hand starts to slide down the front of her leggings. She whimpers as her own fingers slide through her wetness, and she drags them up to her clit and rubs slowly. She thinks about the massage wand, about how good it would feel for Stevie to hold it to her clit while she fucked her. And she moaned. She had met this girl thirty minutes ago, maybe less. And now she was touching herself while she thought about her. Melissa Schemmenti was fucked. And now the beautiful woman was in the room across from hers, with a vibrator that she would probably use at night.Â
Melissa came harder than she had in a long time. She lay back on the bed, chest heaving as she recovered from the intense climax. She ran her clean hand through her hair and sighed. She needed to get it together. Stevie was practically a child! Melissa had spices in her pantry older than Stevie. Stevie Hill was off limits, but Mel couldnât stop thinking about her. And she wasnât sure she wanted to.Â

The boys house was unusually quiet. Which probably meant nobody was at home or just too busy to entertained her.
Y/N sat cross-legged on Garrettâs bed with three textbooks spread around her, highlighter between her teeth while she reread the same paragraph for what felt like the tenth time.
Sports psychology should not be that difficult. But it was after a four-hour skating practice.
Garrett had texted her twenty minutes ago saying he ran late and to just wait in his room, so thatâs what she was doing. And attempting to study too. Attempting being the key word.
The room smelled faintly like laundry detergent and hockey gear, which shouldâve been a terrible combination but somehow wasnât. Her brotherâs room had always weirdly felt safe. Even growing up.
Especially growing up.
Y/N pushed the thought away before it could linger too long and reached for her coffee again only to realize the cup was empty.
She groaned dramatically and fell backward against Garrettâs pillows.
âStudying?â a male voice echoed through the room.
Y/N lifted her head immediately. Logan stood in the doorway wearing gray sweats and a black Briar hockey shirt, hair still damp from the shower.
fuck, she cursed mentally.
âUnfortunately,â she sighed. âEducation is ruining my life.â
Logan smirked slightly and leaned against the doorframe. âThought figure skaters were supposed to be disciplined.â
âWe are. Thatâs why Iâm suffering academically instead of just quitting.â
He walked into the room without asking, grabbing something from Garrettâs dresser.
Y/N narrowed her eyes immediately.
âYou just casually walk into my brotherâs room and take his stuff?â she asked in a teasing tone, sitting up and crossing her arms.
âWe literally live together.â
âStillâŠâ
Logan snorted softly.
Y/N watched him for a second. Then forced her attention back to her textbooks.
The thing about Logan was that he was objectively annoying. Everybody knew it. He flirted too much, smiled too easily, invented the most ridiculous acronyms known to mankind, and carried himself with the effortless confidence of someone who had never once been embarrassed a day in his life. Except Y/N didnât fully buy it.
Because underneath all the jokes and lazy grins and shameless flirting, there was always something else there. Something quieter. Harder to catch. Logan was good at performing version of himself people expected.
Funny. Charming. Easygoing. The guy who could walk into a room and make everybody laugh within five minutes. And he did it so naturally most people never looked past it.
But Y/N did.
She noticed the way his smile sometimes lingered a second too long, like he was making sure it still looked convincing. The way he always deflected whenever conversations got too personal. The way he could spend years surrounded by people and somehow still keep the important parts of himself completely hidden.
It was strange, honestly. Her brother had lived with Logan for years. The team practically treated him like family. And yet Y/N was almost sure none of them truly knew what went on underneath all that confidence and charisma and stupidly pretty hair.
Logan made people feel like they knew him without ever actually letting them get close enough to. A talented liar. Or maybe just a talented actor. Either way, she saw through him more than he probably realized.
Which, unfortunately, only made him more interesting. He was also handsome and charismatic. Which made tolerating him easier than it shouldâve been.
âYouâre staring again,â Logan said casually.
Y/N blinked. âExcuse me?â
âYou get this little judgmental wrinkle between your eyebrows.â He pointed lazily toward her face. âMeans youâre thinking mean things.â
âIâm always thinking mean things,â she joked.
He chuckled and nodded in agreement. âYeah, but these seemed personal.â
She gasped quietly. âYou think Iâd bully you?â she said sarcastcally.
âI think you always bully me,â he replied immediately. âAnd I think you actually enjoy it.â
âThatâs because you make it so easy.â she winked and turned her attetion back to her textbooks.
Logan laughed under his breath while opening Garrettâs mini fridge. Y/N watched him steal one of Garrettâs protein drinks without hesitation.
âWow,â she said. âImagine if he knew you were touching his stuff.â
âHeâd survive.â
Logan twisted the cap open before glancing toward the textbooks around her. âWhat class?â
âSports psych,â she groaned in frustration.
âThat bad?â he chuckled.
âAnd Iâd rather let somebody hit me with a car.â
âDramatic"
âYou should see chapter six.â
Logan chuckled and moved closer then, dropping into Garrettâs desk chair backwards so his arms rested across the top of it. Too comfortable. All the boys were always comfortable around her, honestly. âYou need help?â he asked.
Y/N stared at him. Then slowly closed her textbook. ââŠJohn Logan,â she said carefully, âoffering tutoring?â
He looked offended. âIâm not stupid, you know.â
âI never said stupid. I implied academically challenged.â
He rolled his eyes, but there was amusement there. âMean,â he said. "I actually got straight Aâs in that class, just so you know.â
She chuckled as he moved closer to get a look at her other notes.
And for a few minutes, the room settled into something easy. Discussing sports psychology theory together.
Comfortable.
Y/N sitting on Garrettâs bed in oversized hoodie with leggings and messy practice hair. Logan half-turned toward her in the desk chair.
Afternoon light spilling through the windows.
It felt weirdly domestic. Neither of them noticed it. Or maybe they did. Which was probably worse.
Then the bedroom door suddenly swung open. Garrett stopped dead.
His eyes moved from Y/N on his bed.
To Logan in his chair.
Back to Y/N.
Silence.
âWhy,â Garrett asked slowly, âdoes this look illegal?â
âHey, Gare,â Y/N said brightly the second Garrett walked in.
Before he could even react, she jumped off the bed and practically launched herself at him.
Garrett caught her automatically with a grunt as she wrapped herself around him easily, arms around his shoulders while he steadied her by the waist out of pure instinct.
âJesus Christ,â he muttered. âwhy would you launch yourself at people?â
âThatâs because Iâm graceful and delicate skater.â
âYou kicked someone with a skate last month.â
âAgain⊠she deserved it,â Y/N said, annoyed.
Logan snorted from the chair.
Y/N ignored him completely. She pulled away from the hug and stepped back, turning around to look at Logan.
âJohnny here is helping me with Sports Psych.â
The room went silent. Logan visibly choked on the protein drink. Garrett looked horrified. Y/N smiled wider.
Because there were very few things funnier in this world than calling John Logan âJohnny.â
Especially knowing he hated it.
âAbsolutely not,â Logan said immediately.
âOh, relax, Johnny,â she teased.
âDonât call me that.â
âWhy? Itâs cute.â
Garrett looked between the two of them suspiciously. âWhyâre you even in my room?â
âYou told me to wait here.â
âWell⊠not him.â Garrett pointed at his friend.
âI live here,â Logan pointed out.
It was unconscious, the way Garrettâs hand immediately touched the back of her head briefly as she stepped away.
Protective. Automatic. Years old.
Logan noticed it before he could stop himself. And maybe that shouldâve been enough to keep his brain functioning normally. Because Garrett didnât just act like an older brother around Y/N. He acted like someone whoâd spent half his life making sure nothing bad ever touched her.
Which meant Logan should definitely stop noticing stupid things.
Like the way Y/Nâs eyes crinkled when she smiled.
Or how her hair was falling out of its ponytail after practice.
Or the fact that she kept stealing Garrettâs hoodie sleeves to hide her hands inside them.
Dangerous territory.
âWait,â Garrett said suddenly, narrowing his eyes. âWhyâs Logan helping you study?â
Y/N answered immediately. âBecause unlike you, he actually passed the class.â
Logan looked smug for approximately two seconds before Garrett said:
âI didnât take Sports Psych,â he explained before looking at Logan. âYou failed Intro to Biology twice.â
âOkay, first of all,â Logan pointed defensively, âthat class was trying to ruin my life. And second⊠this isnât Biology.â
Y/N burst out laughing. Actually laughing.
Head tipped back slightly, shoulders shaking, completely unfiltered amusement.
And Loganâ
Logan stared for half a second too long. Because that laugh was unfair.
Logan immediately looked away.
ââŠanyway,â Y/N said, still grinning as she climbed back onto the bed, âone of you is buying me food because studying is making me emotionally fragile.â
âYouâre emotionally fragile all the time,â Garrett replied.
âBut now Iâm hungry too.â
Garrett rolled his eyes like he wasnât about to do exactly that.
âYeah, yeah,â he muttered, already pulling his phone out. âWhat do you want?â
Y/N looked up from her notes innocently. âLove and financial stability.â
âYouâre getting pizza.â
âClose enough.â
Garrett ignored her and started typing into his phone while Y/N reorganized her textbooks across the bed, stuffing loose papers back into folders with the exhausted movements of somebody one inconvenience away from academic collapse.
A second later Garrett shoved his phone back into his pocket.
âI ordered for all of us,â he announced. âEven your weird broccoli one.â
Y/N gasped softly. âSee? This is why youâre my favorite brother.â
âIâm your only brother.â and She winked at him.
Across the room, Logan slowly locked his own phone and slid it back into his sweatpants pocket.
Quietly. Slowly.
Because thirty seconds earlier, he had been halfway through ordering the exact same thing.
Broccoli, extra cheese, no olives. Her stupidly specific favorite pizza.
He hadnât even thought about it. That was the problem. It had been automatic.
Y/N kept talking, completely oblivious. âDean cried last time I made him try it.â
âThatâs because broccoli doesnât belong on pizza,â Garrett argued.
âIt literally does.â
âIt literally doesnât.â
Logan barely heard them. Because suddenly his brain was stuck on one deeply unfortunate realization:
He knew Y/Nâs order. Not just vaguely. Exactly.
He knew she hated olives. Knew she liked extra cheese. Knew she drank coffee like sleep was optional. Knew she preferred green apple Gatorade after skating practice because âthe blue one tastes like chemicals.â
None of that information should exist in his head. At least not in the amount of detail it apparently did.
Logan leaned back in Garrettâs desk chair slowly, watching Y/N argue dramatically with her brother about pizza toppings while absentmindedly braiding and rebraiding the end of her ponytail.
And for one very brief, very dangerous second, it hit him. Not hard. Not enough to fully understand it yet. Just enough to feel something shift slightly underneath his ribs.
Y/N looked toward him suddenly. âJohnny, back me up.â
Logan looked up confused, met Garrett and Y/N already staring at him, and answered automatically. âYeah⊠broccoli pizzaâs good.â
Garrett looked betrayed. Y/N looked victorious.
âSee? Johnny gets it,â Y/N said smugly, shoving the last notebook into her bag.
Logan groaned immediately. âStop calling me that.â
She only grinned wider as she swung the bag over her shoulder and hopped off the bed.
âAt least someone in this house has taste,â she continued dramatically, looking directly at Garrett. âWhich is impressive considering testosterone levels around here.â
Garrett looked unimpressed. âIâve been here for only ten minutes and youâre already annoying me.â
âAnd yet youâd miss me if I died.â
âIâd appreciate the silence.â
Y/N gasped quietly like heâd wounded her deeply, then walked over and kissed his cheek quickly anyway. Then Y/N turned toward the doorway, already pulling the hoodie sleeves over her hands again.
âIâm gonna shower before the pizza gets here,â she said casually. âDonât eat my slices or Iâll report all of you to the NCAA.â
âNobody wants your vegetable pizza,â Garrett called after her.
âLiar.â
She pointed accusingly toward Logan as she backed into the hallway.
âJohnny likes it.â
âStop calling me Johnny!â he shouted back.
Y/N laughed, bright and effortless, as she disappeared down the hall toward the bathroom like she belonged there just as much as the boys did.
The room fell quiet the second she left.
Garrett moved toward his dresser without much thought, tossing his practice shirt onto the floor.
Logan stayed where he was in the desk chair. Still oddly aware of Y/Nâs laugh echoing faintly from down the hallway. Dangerous. Very dangerous.
Garrett suddenly looked over at him.
ââŠwhat?â
Logan blinked. âWhat what?â
âYouâre being weird.â
âIâm literally just sitting here.â
âYeah, weirdly.â
Logan scoffed. âYou are weird.â
Garrett narrowed his eyes slightly like he was trying to solve a puzzle. Thenâ
âDonât flirt with my sister.â
The sentence came completely out of nowhere. Logan stared at him.
âJesus Christ,â he laughed incredulously. âWhere did that even come from?â
Garrett shrugged once, but there was something watchful underneath it.
âYou flirt with everybody.â
âYeah, because itâs fun.â
âIt wonât be fun with her.â
Something about the way he said it made the room feel heavier suddenly.
Not aggressive. Not threatening. Just honest. Protective in a way Garrett never tried to hide.
Logan leaned back slower this time, forcing himself to roll his eyes casually.
âOh, come on, G,â he said in an exaggeratedly seductive tone. âYou know youâre the only Graham I have eyes for.â
He winked at Garrett, who immediately threw a pillow at his head.
âShut the fuck up.â
Logan laughed, catching the pillow easily and hugging it against his chest.
And somehow that shouldâve made him feel better.
Instead, for reasons he absolutely did not want to examine, it didnât.
