thing that might be of interest: for one of my finals, I have to scenic design a play, and I chose Off Book’s Twiright, a musical with no canon set design!!
We built model boxes in class to a 1/4 scale; this is a 20 x 40 foot proscenium :)
I scumbled the deck with browns and oranges and greens for lichen to get that PNW feel
We have to have figures, so Zach and Jess (both 5’8”) are in scale here :) (Jess is from the Peter Man poster and Zach is Blair Witchproject since Walter goes kinda emo)
the biggest setpiece is this huge rotating tree a little over 20 feet high! it’s divided into thirds and will hold six different settings
in its place :)

murder on the picturesque express: my personal favorite off book ever. every song's a banger. murder mystery! incredible character names! sandwich math! twist after twist that neither you nor the performers expect! gruesome, grim, grisly, and great :)
flow of the rings: what if three couples' hawaiian honeymoon was also lord of the rings. and it was hilarious and every song was amazing.
scabby the rat: killer harmonies! unions! rats! my beloved philip labes! ruthless mockery of ai!
the names of our family: literally the best villain ever in anything ever im obsessed with him. also possibly the best bonus song they've done so listen all the way to the end!
movie night (listed as ep 281 live at the bourbon room): a FANTASTIC story within a story, so goddamn whimsical. jess gets to do a punk rock wail which is always a favorite of mine. just really really stellar all around.
the mayor of owl city: one of my fave fam band episodes (they do individual songs instead of a musical!). songs include a totally accurate recap of guardians of gahoole and a song about professor x and magneto fucking
you might be a portal: you liked my tom bombadil post so i'm assuming you've listened but. if you haven't. you gotta.
oregon trail summer: absolutely hilarious riff on the oregon trail. there's a piano and a dressage horse and lots and lots of ants
penguins of the phantom club: do you like club penguin? do you like secret agents? do you like plagiarizing andrew lloyd webber? this musical may be for you
this book only happens when you read it: goosebumps comes to life!!!!!
