Something i HATE to see from transmasc creators (the is very targeted) is them giving harmful and even dangerous advice about certain illnesses to young transmasc or ofab individuals without doing proper research. To THEN block the people with said illnesses or professionals who are telling them they’re wrong and what they are saying is and can put people who take this to heart in danger.
I had an encounter with trans man who put up a video that since he was not sexually active he does not need to get a pap smear. Which that alone I guess is fine, just don’t neglect your health if you see or feel any problems arise, especially on testosterone. But what bothered me is the statistics he gave for cervical cancer likeliness, what causes it and that something like HPV in other form in not serious enough to consider. (mind you it was phrased in a way that labeled this the only reason to need a pap smear)
I feel like i’m overreacting but i don’t think you should be telling people that they’re fear mongering over something you kept calling a sex only disease, like its not something you can pick up from shaking someones hand.
