How come you hate love live so much?
the thing is, it’s not like i hate love live as a show itself or as some sort of content i just don’t enjoy! i dislike love live because of problematic elements, since it’s a seinen made for gross old otaku men that sexualizes minors and romanticizes the idol industry. seinen is literally a genre marketed at older men, similar to how josei is targeted at older women, and the show is undeniably otaku bait for creeps and pedophiles. while i know most people on here do NOT like it that way and some acknowledge that it’s problematic (in fact, most fans i’ve seen on here are teenage girls themselves who like the positivity and cuteness!), for me personally it’s on a level where i just try to keep it away from me because of the original context. i’ve simply chosen to put it on my blacklist because seeing it makes me uncomfortable! :’)
i’m not good at explaining things, so here’s a couple of links i’ve found here and there about why things like this made for otaku men can promote dangerous and toxic culture! (x x x)
