Happy birthday!!
Thank you!!
Hello, are you doing well?
Hello there!
I’m having a tough mental health week, but in general I am fantastic! How’re you?!
That's ok I know I can't change your opinion. I just think it's not worth it.
okay.
Is it really worth to get mad over how some characters are presented? i find it kind of pointless and calling the artist gross just cause of the way he draws certain characters is kinda rude. Its fine not to play Fire Emblem and nobody is forcing you. I just think getting angry about the way females are presented is pointless. Besides some of the males also have impractical armor.
well, sorry to be frank but this is my personal blog and if i want to express my viewpoint or share opinions on here with others who agree i’m free to do so. it’s not like i’m getting super worked up or telling other people they can’t enjoy it, tons of my mutuals love the new games and that’s perfectly fine. i PERSONALLY find the content in the game to be very uncomfortable for ME so i avoid it, and i’m calling him gross for buying into the common trend of sexualizing females, not because of his art style. the males having impractical armour is also an issue but the reality is that male sexualization is not as blatant of a problem in the video game industry than the treatment of females will ever be.
either way, like i said at the beginning, this blog is a place for me to express my opinions, even if you can’t relate to them.

But they're fictional characters. Giving them lighter skin isn't erasing anything. It doesn't matter how others draw them. They're still PoC.
yes, that is undeniably true! however, the problem isn’t that people think it’s changing canon because it’s certainly not, the problem is the type of mentality that leads people who whitewash in the first place, which is what i was trying to explain before. they’re still PoC, but the fact that many people can’t accept them being as dark-skinned poc or even simply poc is an issue that stems from underlying racism and colourism.
Does drawing Candela and Blanche slightly different really erase anything?
yes! they are visibly POC and since visible POC are already a minority in most media as well as the fact that colourism exists even within POC communities (for example in south asia harmful bleaching products to make skin lighter and “more beautiful” are constantly glorified because there is no representation for natural dark brown skin), it’s kind of hurtful and disrespectful to whitewash their canonical races.
The FSLN remains one of Nicaragua's two leading parties. The FSLN often polls in opposition to the Constitutionalist Liberal Party, or PLC. In the 2006 Nicaraguan general election, former FSLN President Daniel Ortega was re-elected President of Nicaragua with 38.7%, bringing in the country's second Sandinista government after 16 years of the opposition winning elections. Ortega and the FSLN were re-elected again in the presidential election of November 2011.
that’s really interesting to know! thank you for sharing, i always find it fun to learn about other countries’ politics and history ^v^
