Nightmare’s felt normal for months now. It’s felt pretty normal. Sure, he had days where all he wanted was to cram himself into the darkest corner of the universe and run from any person who dared lay eyes on him. And sure, the paranoia of being hunted, killed, or captured was always resonating in his mind nowadays, but that’s just part of the business. There’s nothing explicitly wrong with him, or him looking at people and seeing murderers first and individuals second.

He’s felt pretty normal. This is normal. So when Jae asks what’s wrong with him, of course Nightmare’s going to be puzzled. He didn’t feel any different than he did last month. Or the month before. Or the month before that. Or the- you get what I mean.

“Gwen, uh..” Nightmare tries to recall her, and he thankfully does. “She’s a good influence on you. You know what I mean? For someone evil like me, uuhh.. You know. Something, something.. Like.. I don’t like her, and I like you, so I don’t want the two of you interacting. She could you know, turn you against me. And no one wants that. That’s why.”

Nightmare doesn’t know how to answer the other question. He’s normal. He’s fine. Not any different than how he was a while ago, he’s sure. Let’s not mention that his time outside the fortress walls is far outweighed by the time he spent within.

  This kid was not getting away. Tricky had hunted other foes to the ends of the [NEVADA] for less than beating him in a rap battle. Hank was the only one to truly best him - he’d make sure that stayed the case.

The ground opens up, the massive crack too pitch black to see into - a mic flies out, landing just in front of Boyfriend - followed by several bladed weapons, and. guns. Whatever strikes his fancy.

And then, the main attraction - Tricky, once more, climbs out of the darkness, twitching and staring the other down, daring him to make the first move.

     With the arms of the island opened for a first-come first-served collectable-swapping invitation, a gorgeous meteor shower coated the night sky of Empty Zone. One sight the celestial mother would never tire of, of course. She had the very thing living inside of her, and yet here she was, consistently mesmerized by the stunning view of it all. But with everyone wishing, people clasping their hands together and praying to the stars for their wants and desires, it made a curious eye turn to the oftentimes blank-faced host of the island. 

     Jae, so casual in all of her interactions that you had to wonder if it was a frankly terrifying amount of jadedness or a plain and simple defense mechanism. It made the woman inquisitive, perhaps in the worsened of ways. Some habits were still in the process of breaking. Patterns tended to stick when they’ve been enforced for centuries.

     Either way, whether Jae wanted it or not, a seat nearby the girl would be pulled out and sat into, smile as welcoming as the stars above cresting onto Rosalina’s lip. 

     “A moment of your time?” She began. “I wouldn’t dare ask what it is you’re actually wishing for on all of these stars, but... I’ll admit, curiosity is taking a pick at me again. Do you think you could humor me this once?
