âWhen you grow up, you tend to get told that the world is the way it is and your life is just to live your life inside the world. Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family life, have fun, and save a little money. That's a very limited life. Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact: Everything around you that you call life was made up of people who were no smarter than you. And you can change it, you can influence it⊠Once you learn that, you'll never be the same again.â
Steven Paul Jobs was an American businessman, inventor, and investor best known for co-founding the technology company Apple Inc. Jobs was also the founder of NeXT and chairman and majority shareholder of Pixar.
Here are five random facts about Steve Jobs:
He was actually fired from Apple in 1985 after a power struggle with the board, only to return in 1997 and save the company from collapse.
Jobs was a big believer in design and simplicity. He audited a calligraphy class in college, which later inspired the beautiful typography of the first Macintosh.
He bought Pixar from George Lucas for $5 million in 1986. Pixar later made Toy Story and went on to become a giant, eventually being sold to Disney.
Jobs was a fruitarian at times, eating mostly fruit and vegetables. This even influenced the name âAppleâ because he thought it sounded âfun, spirited, and not intimidating.â
He spent time in India in the 1970s exploring Buddhism and spiritual enlightenment, which influenced his minimalist philosophy.
Sometimes the studio isnât where the artist goes but where the artist is. Some open creativity time spent day dreaming at the beach in photos.

Create Your Life
You have everything you need to shift, you just need to realize it. Shifting isnât about luck or some complicated method. Itâs a choice, a choice you make when you decide to leave this reality behind and step into the one you want. Thereâs no "perfect time" or special condition to shift. The moment you choose your reality, itâs yours. Doubt and fear are just temporary obstacles, and you have all the power to overcome them. Even if you feel stuck or lost, remember that you already have what it takes to succeed. The key is to maintain your confidence in yourself. Every time you choose to believe in your ability to shift, you take one more step toward your new reality. Donât let past failures or moments of doubt hold you back. The most important thing is to keep moving forward because you control everything. You have the power to create your life, and everything you want is already there, ready to manifest. The only real obstacle is not believing in yourself. So, stop waiting. Choose your reality and go for it. Youâre ready !!!

Forgive Yourself
A while back I saw a YouTube video that completely changed my life, it completely changed my perspective of myself, my goals and my mindset.
The video was titled something like âhow I finally changed my lifestyle and saw resultsâ or something close to that. I had never seen a video of hers before but that one video, changed everything for me.
In the video the main point she talked about was trust, not in others but in herself. Every time she committed to changing her lifestyle to a healthier one and broke that commitment, she broke her own trust. Every time she said she would do something for herself and didnât, her trust in herself dwindled.Â
Itâs something that we donât notice 99.8% of the time. When we commit to eating healthier, going to the gym 5x a week, stop drinking alcohol, whatever it is and we mess up (because weâre human) our trust in ourselves tends to break.Â
In the video she said, the thing that made the most difference in her lifestyle change was the fact that she forgave herself and gave herself grace while still holding herself responsible for the changes she wanted to make. This society, especially the level up society sometimes, puts extremely high expectations on us. As women and doubly so as black women. We put so much pressure on ourselves to be the absolute best version of ourselves and when we make a mistake we beat ourselves up, even if we donât realize it.Â
I want to encourage you to sit down with yourself and determine if deep down, even subconsciously, youâve broken your own trust and donât trust yourself anymore. I promise you, you will be surprised to find that it might be the case for you. And if it is, forgive yourself. Forgive yourself for every time you wanted to show up for yourself but didnât or couldnât. Give yourself grace for being human and for figuring it out. Truly forgive yourself. Tell yourself that each effort to change is better than not changing at all. Then pick yourself back up and try again. Make the change, step by step, to honor yourself and while youâre at it, let yourself off of the hook.Â
Having high standards for yourself is a great thing, but not if it destroys the trust you have for yourself. Finding the balance between high standards to achieve your goals and dreams and giving yourself grace when you fall short is the difference you need to finally make permanent changes, I guarantee you.Â
