If I can make a suggestion on what you can write about Pip, how about the day she manifested her magic? Very brief and no need to explain why she has magic since I know that’s a spoiler, just that day when she fell off her horse and found out that way
I want you to know I've been trying to figure out a way to convey this and I want to some day, but I hate to leave you hanging so I will say-
Her first manifestation of magic is a direct reference to how Phillip somehow fell UPWARD off his horse
GENUINELY HOW DID HE DO THIS LMAO
You said on twitter that you wouldn’t talk about real life history and fandom there, but will you do it on tumblr? I wanna know what you think
If anyone is genuinely interested in how historiography works (I took a class on it in grad school, and I employ a lot of that in my irl work) then yeah! If ya'll don't want to read this you don't have to tho and *** Do not take anything I say as a fact nor an endorsement of irl war. I do not support irl war. ***
But with twitter and many fandom spaces, there's a lot of people with knee-jerk reactions to start fights and label people trying to discuss stuff like that as bad and evil, and so on and so forth. How dare anyone talk about the game as it is when fanon and head canons are so protected and personal to many people.
And there's been a history of people twisting my words into something bad faith when it is never my intention. It can be exhausting to the point of wanting to willingly silence myself because why try to speak to people determined not to understand me, nor even try.
I will say here that with Lilia's discussion on how how easily history can become biased, even in written works and primary sources, often leads you to have to research both sides of a conflict to understand the whole picture- something I've seen people unwilling to do. I've seen people even intentionally ignore the new info about what Night Fae did to and stole from Day Fae from 1500 years ago, and you can't force people to acknowledge stuff if they don't want to.
That, added with the dreams in 7 being manipulated by the dreamer's desire, makes me think Lilia's dream might've been biased. But as of until recently, it was the only source of the past we had so we had no choice but to take it as fact, and I don't think people are willing to see it as not fact even if Lilia and Malleus talk about what Maleficia did to the day fae, and how night fae have invaded day fae territory and currently live in their original land.
I had been wondering why the conflict from 400 years ago had gained the human and day fae side so many allies, or why humans got involved in the way they did, and why in the dream the Silver Owls were weirdly cowardly despite being an invading force, and Henrick being one-dimensional evil but saving his dad for whatever reason, or the possibility that Lilia may have given Dawn grace in his dream since he is his son's bio dad, and that's why Dawn isn't quite as one-dimensional as everyone else.
Or, of course, I'm completely wrong. People seem to think I think I'm right about everything. I don't think that. I think the way I write and source the game comes off as academic because that's what I've done in school and work.
** I'm actually okay with being wrong when new info comes out/story progresses
I've never gotten vibes that twst was ever going to be a revenge story. No I don't think RSA are secretly evil and NRC is allowed to be messy and wrong and embody villains because the game is from a villain-esc POV. I don't think introducing more lore is bad, our first view was in a dream and now we're hearing more from conscious and significantly older individuals who are sharing history that has been passed down orally strictly by fae and never written down (which yes that is a form of history that can only be preserved through actually speaking with someone delivering it or hearing a recording, there are no recordings of fae history so Lilia and Malleus speaking themselves are primary sources)
**Yes I know Silver Owls are bad and did a bad thing I'm not saying they are not bad, they are bad. I do not condone their actions.
I hope when the RSA Housewarden that looks like a Day Fae shares his experiences, he isn't completely villainized or immediately treated with disdain simply for experiencing something different than the characters we've known for long/are fan favorites have.
and I'm fine with them not wanting to take the glow because it was stolen from Day Fae to begin with. It's very 'one ring' from Lord of the Rings. I still think they'll get it regardless though.
idk, again, I'm not involved in those popular head canons people stick to and get mad when the game doesn't. Any headcanon I've ever had, I can live with them getting busted even if it does suck. I can relate to the heartbreak but I don't feel a need to be that angry all the time.
At the end of the day I'm typing this at work lmao and yes I'm going to write on paid time because I can. If twst goes that route I do understand, you can never fully understand something unless you research everything. It's kinda like how twst is, you lose a lot of info if you never read vignettes or you never look at any characters outside of your fave. Idk if thats what theyre going for as the story is still in the early stages and will probably be ongoing for years but thats just my thoughts rn. I am open-minded enough to change as new info comes out.
So if silver gets a daughter in the future would she be just a f!silver version then lol
But I'm wondering about his bio children in general when it comes to hair would they have blond hair because silver's original hair is not silver but blonde or would Lilia spell magically affect the genes of their hair too... We know that if Lilia died, Silver hair would return to its original color as we have seen in book seven.
Exactly right lol
I think Silver is the one exception to children being clones of their parents given there are magical reasons behind it.
I think Silver's bio kids would end up with silver hair given Lilia's blessing is with him again. Silver only had blonde hair because of the blessings his bio dad's guardian fairies gave him. If he has silver hair by the time his kids are born, his kids are lucky and have that naturally
Silver will probably have silver hair for the rest of his life given Lilia is now literally entirely fixed and better to the point that, as the story is now, he's expected to be at Malleus's side to assist him while his horn heals for the next 200 years. I don't see Silver making it another couple hundred years 😭 He's lucky to even be here right now.
What sort of school does Pip go to :0 is it much alike NRC or RSA? i can't really see her attending a magic school that just puts an emphasis or manners and etiquette lol
I'm in the process of making her school! Her school isn't too important to her story (I feel like most of the Pip and Silver's story takes place on Sage's Island and Briar Valley so far)
Pip goes to an all-girls mage school that is pretty similar in nature to NRC and RSA. The education is virtually the same. I don't think girl schools in Twisted Wonderland would treat women any differently than they do men.
I know there's an appeal to make a girl's school barbie-esc with emphasis on femininity, but I believe in equal education lol
I think people forget that RSA is a school filled with Disney princesses and their allies. All the princesses in twst so far are boys. Pip's school, alternatively, is where the Disney princes and heroes go, and they are all girls. What can I say, I like my reversal tropes.
Pip attends Lion Heart Academy (LHA)- A school where young female mages with the bravest of hearts attend!
Don't mind the shitty `graphic design in my passion` concept and how I forgot to separate Lionheart from Lion Heart. I am consulting actual artists for help lol
The school exists on mainland Dawning, a ferry ride away from Sage's Island, where they often have competitions with/against other local arcane schools like NRC and RSA
As of right now the school doesn't have dorms like NRC (the school having dorms will be determined by future info provided by 8) and I'm not sure what honorable figure that represents their school would be on campus (again, school can change based on future info, and its mostly there so she can go to a girls one that is close enough to Sage's Island, and potentially entertain the idea of more Prince girls being there teehee)
Now I'm kind of vibing with the idea of King Richard from Disney's Robin Hood as he was based on the actual King Richard the Lionheart. Fun reference even with a minor character lol
I will say, I'm not super interested in making an all-girls fan school just to give NRC characters a whole cast of girlfriends (who even knows if everyone in nrc would want a gf, maybe they want a bf), but I do know there is an audience for that, it's just not for me. I just want to entertain the idea of Prince girls and Pip and Silver are so far the only two characters between schools I see interacting (because they met each other in their dreams/Briar Valley)

If we remember how Vils UM works or how the movie Maleficent and Sleeping Beauty worked, perhaps the fairies couldn’t save baby Silver between all these events because they could not undo their own spell conditions. iirc he was spelled to sleep until somebody was capable of truly loving him so maybe the three fairies were not capable of fulfilling their own conditions.
That's very true, in fact it's implied to still kind of be there. To what extent we don't know, Silver says he's feeling better and we haven't seen otherwise (besides card lines) ...Sucks they might not ever address all the ableism he faced from the school and peers but that's what fanfics are for rip 🫠
It's kind of sad though, those fairies were there because they were Dawn Knight's guardians (before he became a servant to the Istvans.) They were the ones that blessed him and stuck with him despite everything that happened. You'd think they could have some love for Dawn's child, but Silver was super young when the kingdom fell, definitely less than a year old, and we don't know that much about diurnal fairies at all.
If they're still alive, I wonder how they felt when that 10 to 100 year prediction turned into 400, did they hear from the news that he was awake but remaining anonymous and maybe want to see him? The fact that RSA's headmage is the descendant of someone who had come in contact with those fairies (and by proxy Leah) is also interesting.
I don't really anticipate answers to this, but it's nice to think about. This historical fairytale drama gives me too many brainworms, at least I can play around with it via Pip.
Bruuuh your hc that the Princess Glow is cursed but specifically for Silver has my mind reeling, god I wish that were true!! (Also gives off major “fuck this guy in particular”, poor Silver lmao, but hey Malificent did the same thing to Aurora)
I think there’s definitely going to be SOMETHING going on between that RSA day fairy and Diasomnia, not just because of the potential connections between them + Ambrose, but also considering the game’s established precedent of having the previous book’s dorm be major players in the current book…
Also, a long time ago I had this hc that Silver originally got an RSA invite, but he wanted to go to NRC to uphold his duty as Malleus’s knight, so Malleus and Lilia convinced Crowley to accept him - something Silver may or may not know about, as from his POV he just got an NRC invite not long after his RSA one. It was a self indulgent hc on my part that probably won’t be true (I don’t take the hc too seriously since if this was true Silver should have mentioned SOMETHING about that before now, I feel)
But if it was it would also add another layer to the whole potential idea of Ambrose/the day fairy wanting Silver 😂
The premise of Sleeping Beauty and the core part of Maleficent is all about taking her anger out on an innocent baby. King Stefan and Queen Leah did not invite her to a Christening that everyone else was allowed to attend, and Merryweather told her to her face that she was not wanted- so Maleficent curses Aurora, a baby, to die because of something her parents did.
In Maleficent, she was horribly wronged and had her wings stolen by Stefan, so she cursed Aurora to be trapped in sleep forever just because she is Stefan's daughter.
In both instances, Aurora did literally nothing except exist and she took the brunt of the punishment meant for her parents/father/other people,
Lilia had a short moment where he thought about killing Silver to get revenge on Dawn Knight, but thankfully stopped himself, and tbh I would love to see more of that.
Silver was never supposed to know that Lilia contemplated killing him, he wasn't supposed to know he was asleep for 400 years, nor a prince, nor a child of Lilia and Malleus's enemies. It has been 400 years since then, but fae remember because they live long, and it'd be cool to possibly see Silver get dragged into conflict simply because he is Silver, he's Bladevale's last Prince, he survived 400 years to this point.
I would not be surprised if twst ever said that Silver actually got two acceptance letters- one from NRC and one from RSA (Silver is, after all, blessed by both night and day fae. He has light and dark in him, and dark is what gets him recognized by NRC's magic mirror)
Obviously Silver chose NRC so he can be with his adopted family/continue to aspire to be a knight and such, which is why it could be potentially interesting seeing as he's the only character based on a disney princess NOT in RSA, and if maybe that'd be a point of interest.
But again idk, Silver hasn't really been in any scene too significant since his formal adoption, we still don't really get whats up with the Mickey thing (which btw, if Mickey's dream room is literally another dimension he's slipping into entirely then uh, why aren't we more concerned that Silver can walk into a different dimension too lol but who knows, the mysteries of prefect and silver) and he's left out of the conversations between Trein, the other teachers, and Lilia and Malleus despite his bio family often coming up as a source of information and mystery, and we don't get to know more about his spell and how he deals with it now/the possibility of it leaving within his life time.
Honestly I don't even know if Silver will even get to face off against the Aurora dorm housewarden, I know Malleus will which is cool. I would hope so.
Sleeping Beauty is a fairly simple fairytale plot, but there's a lot of elements of it that I'd love if twst could utilize more- with Aurora being punished for the sins of her parents being a big one, and how the three good fairies chose to protect her despite their inexperience and, through their mistakes, were the reason Maleficent found Aurora and she pricked her finger.
Twst has already done a good job exploring Aurora's horror at finding out her life was a lie and being saddened at the idea of leaving to be a princess engaged to a stranger when just moments prior she was a peasant girl living in the woods with fairies. Silver actually expands on this by being more outwardly attached to fae, feeling like he owes them his life and all.
Twst hasn't touched on Silver being the only human too much, only occasionally with him thinking that Malleus and Lilia are closer to each other than they are with him because of his short and temporary life, and Lilia not wanting Silver to waste all of his life on him, and ofc the obviously literally everyone is going to outlive him, Lilia thinking that Silver would move on to be with humans when Silver clearly never wanted to leave. Lilia has subtly kept Silver at arms length, only just recently been convinced to adopt and become a true family, so what next, yknow. If anything, I'd love to see a more fae perspective.
We already know how everyone feels about Lilia and Malleus and they each other, but it'd be cool to see if Silver really is wanted in a way he doesn't even realize, and not in a 'he's useful/a knight' kind of way. Or I really just want some more fairytale rot man.
I don't care if Silver doesn't even get to do much moving forward (he's a rare character to see in general, with him just now after like 4-5 years getting an event SSR) but I'd just love to get more fairytale lore and rot with him anyway, and I think Lilia and Malleus should get to do more things for themselves and for Silver and others with how they didn't get to in book 7 too. I also want Sebek being an active agent of the plot bc I like Sebek lol
What're the chances that the boy from the Aurora dorm just so happens to be one of the Fae that put Silver to sleep? He just looks across the room to see the Dawn Knight with a dye job laughing it up with Malefica's baby and has to do some real quick math about how long Silver had to have been under that spell for while pretending it's all cool and fine, no worries here! Hahaha...
Or something 💦
Given the faeries who spelled Silver were women and it looks like the good fairy-esc student is most likely male, I wouldn't say they were the same BUT I could see the good fairy student being related to the faeries that spelled Silver- like a son or nephew maybe?
Nephew would be a cute callback because that is what Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather referred to themselves around Aurora, her 'aunties'
Given fae live a long time, if this student is connected to Dawn's fairies in any way, or knew of him and Bladevale, and RSA has distant connections to Silver's bio family, and Silver has never participated in this tournament until now, AND he's identical to Dawn, I can see it clicking for good fairy student or possibly Ambrose (but he's like 70+ generations removed from the Ambrose that was given the glow so he might not know) would recognize him
There is also a chance that Silver could have a living distant relative (definitely from mom's side since we don't know what happened to uncle Henrick and we know that his grandfather was cured of his illness) but there's a chance Silver might be the only one left after Bladevale was destroyed.
We could be reading too into it. What got me thinking is the fact that his grandfather ended up living and probably outlived his daughter after she was killed.
Maybe Leah didn't pass Silver off to the fairies to take to Land of Dawning/his Grandfather and spelled him instead because they thought he would probably be hunted or killed? And the Grandfather never being able to get his grandson out of the castle? The first Ambrose being in contact with Dawn's faeries. It's all so interesting, but I can never tell if there's anything deeper past the surface because sometimes twst will say stuff that doesn't get expanded upon.
I think it'd be really cool if the RSA and the good fairy were interested in Silver and we could learn more about him and he could still play a role in the larger story, and maybe he does have a living relative or whatever else. Here's to hoping 🤞🏻 if nothing else, at least we have fanfics
