sweater: a favorite comforting thought. there’s a song I love, whose title is va a escampar, which would roughly translate to “it’s going to clear up, eventually it’s going to stop raining”. Its lyrics are beautiful, utterly honest, and… that sentence, that title, is something I find myself going back to when life is harsh. So, yeah, I guess that would work.

pumpkin pie: a favorite comfort food. milk and biscuits (you know why), culurgiones (I guess that’s because I’ve made an habit of eating culurgiones on my own just before I leave the island when summer ends, with messy hair who usually leaves a day before I do), pizza with-everything-on-top (that’s what I resort to those times when the night comes and taking care of myself on my own seems like a huge effort).

15) How do you vent your anger? I don’t like anger because it tends to overwhelm me. When I’m angry my instinct is to linger on what made me angry in the first place and my head is not exactly my best ally those times. Moving is what helps the most: walking faster and faster, dancing alone, tidying up, so on so forth. Writing may help too. If the person who made me angry - real angry - is still at hands, though… my words can be very unpleasant.

29) Do you have any obsession right now? Little, cute obsessions are How to train your dragon and a romantic couple in La voz dormida, an otherwise very painful and powerful movie about the early years of Francoism in Spain.

40) Are you the kind of friend you would want to have as a friend? Sometimes I am and sometimes I am not - you know how much I dislike my tendency to be self-centered. Well, that’s not something I’d be too fond of in a friend. There are times when I’m better, though, and those times I’d befriend myself with pleasure =)

55) You can re-live any point of time in your life. The time-span can only be a half-hour, though. What half-hour of your past would you like to experience again? AAAAAAAAH! No, you can’t make me choose ONLY one half-an-hour! I’ll just move on and assume you’re okay with me choosing some more of them - so: half-an-hour in my body when I was ten years old: I’d want to play rugby again, or just run, or prepare those ridiculously small sailing boats I used to sail in and do that with that boy who was a friend before having a boyfriend was a thing; I’d like to rejoice in the feeling of wholeness and health and strength of that body of mine, even for just one more time. Or: half an hour in Alguer, 2001, with you, and M., and S. who takes me by the hand while the sun sets over the sea, which is violet and terse and so, so sweet, and everything feels simple for the last time in so many years. Or: half an hour of dancing at Potemkin in the city that saved me in Spain, the Pink Floyd or the Killers playing louder and louder, a cloister of friends around me, and the rhythm taking over my body in a joyful ecstasy in which everything is just life, life burning with a thousand desires. Or: half an hour during the first days of April 2010: days of rebirth, of feeling whole again; the sparkles of a newborn sentiment which felt as pure as being born anew; Easter, our island, april showers, and the sudden sun.

57) You have the opportunity to sleep with the music-celebrity of your chice. Who would it be? Bwahahah ok. I’ll say it. It’s quite obvious. Bruce Springsteen. I want him. Now. (also, can I have a sleepover with Emmy the Great?)
