Today's prompt was Newt's cutest moment.
That's not one specific moment that pops in my head, but more an atitude, the "Mommy Newt" moments.
They're the moments I really find the cutest. But they're also the moments where he's himself, without the pressure of the world, in his element, what he knows and master.
These moments are cute, often funny. I really treasure them.
I also love these moments, and find them cuter, because in these, because he knows what happens with creatures, that's when he bonds with humans : jacob and the occamies (and others creatures), Tina and occamies then zouwu, Theseus and the Qilin. I love how the transfert of "Mommy-ing", the passation of knowledge occurs, and helps him to create links with humans, to understand humans and to be understood by them

Newt Appreciation Month... day #3.
Describe Newt in three words. I have to narrow it down to three?! Ooof. I can do that... I think.
Selfless
Everything he does, every decision he makes... it's always with others in mind. The safety and well-being of everyone else comes first. He risks his life repeatedly for others, even when he doesn't know them. Not once in all three films have I ever seen Newt be selfish or self-indulgent. I honestly don't think he's even capable of that.
Nurturing
This word doesn't need explanation. The way he cares for his creatures, the way he tries to care for Credence, even the way he tries to be there for Dumbledore when he unloads what happened to his sister, it's Newt's nature to be nurturing.
Sensitive
Sadly, it's extremely rare to see good men portrayed in this way. It's beyond refreshing to finally see a male character whose sensitivity is not portrayed as a weakness or unmanly or some other nonsense. Not only is he emotionally sensitive, but we see physical sensitivity and even psychological sensitivity with him. Seeing a man be so kind, be so gentle, and not be universally looked down on for such qualities is just a beautiful thing to me. We need more of that.
