Valko does remember you mentioning your bad allergies when you met a few months ago, remembering your nonstop sneezing fits when you guys started hanging out. he felt terrible not being able to really help, allergy season was at its worst after all :(
so when he notices you take allergy pills everyday with breakfast, he shrugs it off
that being said, he can no longer smell the tree pollen in the air and it seems you still take them daily.

at first he worries hes dragging different pollen and weeds into your apartment since he goes out all the time (he cant control how much he sheds, hes tried!!)
its straight to the shower once he gets home. so he has the rest of the night to sigh into his favorite spot right on top of you. loving the feeling of your kisses between his fluffy ears as he drifts asleep.
to his dismay, his wonderful mate still wakes up with slightly itchy cheeks, eyes red and watery first thing in the morning.

its late, your living room dimly lit by the show youve been watching together. lazily leaning foward, just enough so you can pet valkos pretty ears as he sits on the floor between your legs. your hand reluctantly leaving his head for a second to gently rub at your itchy eyes.
“hey pup, why dontcha go to the doctor for your allergies already? Summer allergies arent so common ykow? could be something else”
you roll your eyes and playfully tug at his right ear with your spare hand, eyes still on the tv in front of you, barely paying attention to the actual contents
“valko ive told you already, theyll just tell me to keep taking the pills daily! tell me about the surprise already, im getting ansty waitin for it!”
“okay okay, weellll,,, one of my secretaries needs a favor and i kind of owe him…”
Valkos always had only the best surprises but this catches you off gaurd, why would a favor he owes someone be exciting for you…? you hear his tail thump on the floor lightly in excitement, he tilts his head up just enough to meet your eyes with his.
“i sorrtaa volunteered you to watch a litter of puppies, four of em. just for the week!!”

his gleaming eyes, his tail tickling your ankle from its bouncing, theres no way out of this. he thinks youll love it. and theres no shot youre saying no to his dorky smile.
you try your best to seem excited, as any animal person would. as any person with two cats would. as the person who drags him to aquariums and kitty cafes nonstop would.
as his partner who hasnt told him hes been the one causing your stuffy nose the past eight months :((
when you hear the keys jingle at the door you know theres no more hiding it.
valkos tail and ears immediately slump upon seeing you on the floor of your apartment. your eyes puffy and red, arms all scratched up and worst of all the previously vacuumed, dusted, and spotless room is now full of little tufts of fur and used tissues.
three of the pups excitedly tumble their way to him at the door as one stays in your hold, trying to give wet kisses to your already bright red and itchy cheeks. valkos ears pressed firmly on his head, a betrayed and guilty look on your boyfriends face. its painfully obvious now. he had his suspicions before and stupidly let them go

After finishing a video with Thomas, the sides were exhausted. After the longer than usual video, it wouldn't be hard to faint immediately after returning to the mind palace. And that is exactly what Anxiety did.
As the others popped up they all noticed the sleeping trait. Roman, being the closest to the emo nightmare, picked him up, bridal style, and brought him to the couch. Logan went to Virgil's room, grabbing his cat plush and a few blankets. Patton started getting supper prepared, no matter how much he wanted to cuddle with the others. Leaving Virgil with Logan, Roman went to the kitchen, sitting down lazily against a wall, watching Patton cook happily.
As much as they said tried to imply they were all just friends, sometimes it was hard to hide that they were all more. That Logan loved the way Roman looked when he got an idea. How Virgil loved Patton's laugh. And how they all just loved each other. If they told Thomas... they don't know what would happen.
So, they keep it a secret. Cuddling one another in each other's rooms every night, then pretending nothing happened if anyone saw them. It was best to just not tell. Their fandom... it might be disappointed, or something. Thomas might be disappointed. They had to keep it hidden.
As they finished the meal Patton had made, they all dragged each other to Patton's room. The most calming room, the easiest to fall asleep in. Virgil went back to sleep first, in the arms of Roman. The rest of them chuckled over his cute sleep face, filled with innocence. All falling asleep, one by one, they had kept this secret for another night. However much they wanted to share, at least they would always have one another.
