Lasiocampa quercus
From the lasiocampidae family. They have a wingspan of 45-75 mm, the females tending to be on the larger side. They tend to inhabit scrub, heath, moor, downland, hedges and sea cliffs. They can be found in Europe, including Britain and Ireland.

Yeah, either an oak or a grass eggar! Oak is way more common. Moths can still fly even with quite a lot of wing damage, so hopefully this lovely friend was fine :)

@possiblytracker​ submitted: Some nice bugs (and one isopod) for you! I didn't get to handle the caterpillar but it was one of the biggest I've ever seen, and would love to get an ID if possible. The beetle had a really distinctive shiny blue underbelly as well, which I unfortunately couldn't photograph properly. All three found on Lundy Island, UK
Woodlice definitely count as bugs! The beetle is a woodland door beetle. Here's the nice underside you described, which can be blue or purple:
