The floods struck the Texas Hill Country between 4 and 6:30 a.m. July 4.
At least one witness recognized Cruz and confronted him, the site reported.
βHe was with his family and a lone security guard. As he walked past us, I simply said, βTwenty kids dead in Texas and you take a vacation?'β the witness told the site.
Cruz βgruntedβ in response while his wife, Heidi, shot them βa dirty look,β the witness added.β
