My ramblings/thoughts on how it's going playing final fantasy XV: Chapter 8-
quests +
Most of the night was spent driving across the map. Manly because I could hear an annoying conversation in the other room and the best way to drown it out was the through the radio in the car and fighting. . . The Frogs of Legend - IGN
We continued on with our little frog hunt! luckily the next two frogs where very easy to find in comparison to the last two the third frog was by a huge rock and some bushes, I spent a few minutes there trying to find him and listening for where he was. there was only one spot I could hear the frog and turns out he was on the other side of the bush. the other frog was just there facing the rock it was in front of, it was a funny sight. when we returned to Sania to turn in the quest she tried to recruit me to be her permanent assistant. Noctis face was absolutely hilarious here. I thought her excitement about the frogs was actually kinda cute. And I really loved Nocts reaction to her telling him to switch jobs and join her, Noct said he was busy with ‘royal stuff’ which isn’t entirely wrong we are on the way to a royal wedding. she interpreted Noctis saying royal stuff as royal theatre, and Noct just went with it. Does Sania know she’s talking to the prince/king here? kinda sad I’m done with her quests they were fun. . . I just like talking to Sania. And catching frogs.
Timed quest:
this was in The same area as the scorpion thing quest which was actually ‘on the way’ to one of the frogs so I figured I’d do it then. I get there and I find a bunch of Cactuars. then found I had to fight 100 Cactuars. . . Then I realized I mad a horrible mistake.
chaos. complete chaos. Never want to do that again. It was on and off one moment were killing several at a time and doing good the next we’re dropping like crazy. surprisingly Gladio was the first to go down. He was act The only one one he used a Phoenix down. (Prom may have used on or two but it’s Prompto so, he regularly does that) I’d try to use Gladio’s Cyclone to wipe a lot of em out at once which helped. I’d also switch between Gladdy and Ignis to get some good hits in as well. I’d use Gladio’s rage as a good boost to knock a lot of Cactuars down quickly. Ignis could just attack them in circles and use fire so-
Prompto’s Recoil and Cyclone were much more useful then Iggys Overwhelm, simce they can do damage to a bit more. the Cactuar’s just kept coming, I’d look up at the number killed amd it only made it worse. pat one point we all almost died. There were several moment where we had to stop give everyone some curatives and then go back on the attack. this quite literally took 22 minutes.
so many antidotes and curatives were used. It was a blood bath of cactus juice once we were down.
I love these guys but I never want to fight another one ever again.
we then kinda drove around, fought anything that appeared camped and such. The normal~
I also replenished our poor curatives because the Cactuars took so much from me. there was a royal tomb on the map I never really saw, I decided to go there out of curiosity and found that the weapon was missing with a note saying it may have been stolen by deamons? that’s possible? I thought only people from the royal family/with royal blood could acquire those? this is honestly kinda concerning. The only person who could take it is a man with a particular color of hair whos a grassy man. but apparently Im wrong cause deamons may be able to just steal em! . im not really curious as to what thats about!. . . And quite concerned. . . Side note: Does anyone know if you can re-take photo ops? Iavw had it happen before and I tried to re-trigger it but I haven’t gotten the prompt. I did notice at the chocobo post that there was an option to take one (I’d deleted the previous picture there due to it being at night)
the reason I ask is because I deleted the picture at ceam. anyway~ I set off on my last quest before we head to Altissia. Savior of the Species - IGN
oh my goodness! we went up to the Vesperpool found the egg fought some things and Immediately went back. Prompto was awing at it, this boy truly loves chocobos! the comment about the egg still being warm to~ Chocobos eggs are actually smaller then I thought they’d be, baby chocobos are about the size of a particular chicken we have, which is a kinda big chicken, so I was thinking a chocobo egg would be a bit bigger but eh. That size does still work. after way to long of driving, we made it there. (Somehow) Noctis looked so sad when he told Wiz we didn’t see the mom around. like he was genuinely heartbroken about it! (these boys~)
wiz said he'd take good care of it and that he’d call us when it hatches. sadly I didn’t get to see it hatch :<
also there was a hunt at the chocobo post so I did do that.
(Random: my mom likes black gothic type stuff, and thinks chocobos are cute so now she wants to see the the baby black Chocobo. . . also Gladio has sneezed 4 more times boi your wearing a jacket!)

It is amusing I’ve managed to turn such a small list of quests I had left in to several freaking plays. It’s been 4 nights how have I dragged it out this long!
