Character solidifying meme
14. Were they involved at school? Sports? Clubs? Debate? Were they unconnected?
I’ll go with college, yeah he was involved in college. He was on his school’s crew team. He loves rowing, being out on the water, and it’s a great workout. He was also in a fraternity
15. Did they graduate? High-School? College? Do they have a PHD? A GED?
Yeah he did graduate college, he got a degree in Architecture. He also went to graduate school to further his education with Architecture and design.
Notes on the Bold All That Apply post [some of them will be self-explanatory, some I’ll elaborate on :’D I just like making expanded posts about these types of memes that go around.]
Ride a Horse: It’s something Mike has been doing well since the 17th Century. he loves horses, and loves riding them. How his personal life is now, it’s been a while since he’s ridden a horse. He’d like to own his own horse, but he just don’t got the funds at this time.
Drive Stick: historically that’s how cars were in the beginning. He’s been driving for a very long time, but even with time that doesn’t make you a better driver. He still sucks.
Speak a second Language: Well English isn’t even this guy’s first language. His first language is Mohawk, he also knew Dutch Mohawk for a while. Present day he speaks both French and Spanish; he’s more fluent with the French tho.
Throw a punch: He knows how to defend himself in more ways than one. Though throwing a punch is something he does know how to do. He probably didn’t make a living out of it like his brother, Jersey; but he has been in brawls in the past. Sometimes that is his way of dealing with things to, beat the shit outta someone and ask questions later. He’s getting way better about that tho, he doesn’t resort to being physical until someone says some dumb shit.
Build a deck: Before he got into architecture, Mike was a day laborer for some time in the early 20th century. That’s how he learned about carpentry and stuff. So of course, he’d know how to build a deck.
Change a flat tire: Self explanatory.
Fire a gun: He’s not the best at marksmanship anymore, it’s been a while since he had to use a gun for anything. But he does know how to use one. It’s a skill he learned way before the War for Independence.
Play Poker: Now this is something he did make money off of for some time. He’s pretty good at poker, and if it was up to him, he’d do that shit for a living. But he thinks realistically about this shit and just doesn’t peruse that type of life.
Paint: he does painting both in an artistic sense and home improvement sense (goes back to his day laboring days). He’s not Van Gogh, but he does love water colors and using oil based paints.Â
write poetry : but badly
sing : Depends on who you talk to about this. Mike will swear he’s a great singer, others will beg to differ. But that doesn’t stop him from singing.
ride a bike : Both bicycle and motorcycle
swim : Yeah he can swim, been doing so since he was a kid.
play chess: It’s not his favorite game, but he does play it occasionally.
pitch a tent : in more ways then one /shot. No but seriously, Mike learned how to do so from hanging out with Vermont back then. It’s something he was forever clueless about.
flirt: It’s an art.
use chopsticks: After much trial and error.Â
write in cursive: he has very beautiful penmanship. Many people compliment him on that, especially at work.
use an electric drill: This goes back to the building a deck thing.
braid hair : Just know that if he ever had a daughter, he would be the one doing her hair.
jump-start a car : Both in a helpful way and an illegal way.
tie a tie : For someone who likes ties and dressing dapper, it would be kind sad if he didn’t know how to tie one. He’s pretty good with tying different types of knots too. Though he’s not very good at bow-ties.
shuffle a deck of cards : self explanatory
pick a lock : Both in a helpful way and an illegal way. But like he learned this back in the 18th century. All for spying reasons.
10, 2, 21 and 24
10: their fashion sense
Business casual but also keeping up with trends. If you ever spotted Mike in the street, you’d probably think he was a menswear model. He usually wears dress shirts (long or short sleeve), nice slacks or name brand jeans, dress shoes or nice sneakers. He only gets super dressy when it comes to special events. He’s never caught in something old or out of date. Yeah he really loves clothes and is very mindful of his appearance.
2 can be found here.
21: how they react to pain
Even tho he’s super dramatic when he’s sick, when he’s in pain it’s either super dramatic or tries to play it off as nothing too big. But once he’s out of sight, that’s when he’ll really break down about it. :xÂ
24: what motivates them
Katt Williams sums it up.Haters are Mike’s motivatorsÂ

2, 3, 12, 23
2: their smile
Mike’s smile is one that can be contagious or condescending. It all depends on the situation really. If it’s the aforementioned, it’s one you can’t help but return. I don’t mean to sound cheesy, but it’s perfect in every way. No crooked teeth, no gap, they’re very white.  A combination of great care and occasional whitening. When it’s the later, condescending, it can make you wanna punch him.
3: their greatest achievement
Being better than you. Like literally that’s Mike’s greatest achievement, becoming something worth mentioning in life. It’s probably not very applicable now, but word of mouth would say otherwise. He’s known, he’s on people’s minds, and after more than a century people still desire to come to his place. So yeah that’s his greatest achievement.
12: their romantic life
He’s not a monogamous type of person, it’s not something he really leans toward. Especially romance, that’s not something he honestly cared about ever in his live. Seeing as he’s immortal; relationships are temporary, why invest in them anyway? Though currently, his romantic life is existent. He’s been with Eliza for about 3 years I think now. It’s a lot different than he thought it would be. It’s pretty alright.
23: how they act when they’re sick
He’s the personification of the phrase “Why do you have to be so dramatic!?”. It’s the end of the world when Mike gets sick. He makes so much unneeded noise, and makes it seem like it’s worse than what it is. He expects you to wait on him, and cuddle him and stuff. He’s a mess when he’s sick.Â
Amethyst, Greg, Jasper, Sugilite
Amethyst: How do you compare to people’s expectations of you?
I’ve always had this preconceived notion that people always expected less of me. Thus that is why they never invested in me to begin with. So in the end it just pushed me to exceed expectations. So in the end it would hardly be any comparison. I don’t live to be compared to anyone; it’s usually the other way around. c:
Greg: The most supportive person in your life just now?
Eliza is the most supportive person right now. She sees sides of me that no one really hasn’t had the luck of seeing. Or rather something I don’t want everyone seeing. She understands I’m fragile and always gives me fond words of encouragement. She’s a great person to have in your corner.
Jasper: What brings out a mean streak in you?
Mean? Me? Pfft I’m not mean...rather I’m not that mean. Why should I even answer this question? It’ll only be ammunition for you. Okay I’ll answer, what brings out a mean streak in me is people I hate and them achieving shit. Yeah I’m a hater, so the fuck what!Â
Sugilite: The most reckless thing you’ve ever done?
My life. I mean seriously the real question is, what haven’t I done? Life is about taking risks and being reckless; if you aren’t any of that, then you’re not gonna progress and go places. Being reckless isn’t a totally negative thing, I mean it made me be the person I am now. And I actually got some good character building out of it.
How was your relationship with everyone during the revolutionary war. Since you weren't on the right side of it all.
Kinda sour actually, more so because no one was thinking in a cohesive voice amongst my political leaders. So people where here with their alliances and there. I fell mostly on the loyalist side, along with my sister, Long Island. Even to this day certain people hate me for my siding with the British; but it was for a good cause…I thought I was doing the right thing by people that were like my in my population.
Joke was on me in the end. I made many enemies north of me, I believe all of New England wanted my head at some point. Mainly Massachusetts, Vermont, and Connecticut. I really did some fucked up shit to all of them.Â
It may not have been the right side to you, since history is often told by the victor; but yeah…no one liked me much and my relationships where in the shitter.
