These Christmas doughnuts are a festive treat perfect for the holiday season. They are infused with the flavors of eggnog and nutmeg, making them a delightful addition to your Christmas breakfast or dessert table.
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg. 1/2 cup eggnog. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1 large egg. 1 tsp vanilla extract. Oil for frying. Powdered sugar for dusting. Red and green sprinkles for decoration.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggnog, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll it out to 1/2-inch thickness. Use a donut cutter or a glass and a smaller round cutter to cut out doughnut shapes. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot to 350F 175C. Carefully drop doughnuts into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove doughnuts with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar and decorate with red and green sprinkles while they're still warm. Serve your delicious Christmas doughnuts and enjoy!
