It would have been Boston Marathon Monday. For now, until the day comes when we can all be together again. I honor the day. I think of all those who are on the front lines risking their lives to save those who are the most vulnerable. Their dedication and sacrifice allows us the chance to go on with our lives. To the runners who gave their heart and soul to stand at the Hopkinton start line, your day will come. And it will be all sweeter for being able to do so, especially first timers: @inmyrunningshoes @nochevalle @kentbelieveit @nykoonam The morning began with an IGLive. Thank you @nurvv @jdfnyc for even considering me as interview worthy. Next was a Pittas Zoom meeting (@ninapittas @memepittas Helen and Taso). This wonderful family has hosted us every April, the regulars @msdutchlatte @miss.hart_ (@peedoo13 and @spumaldo last April see picture 4) for the past 5 years. Every time they welcome us back as family. 🙏 Ended the day on the hill. It is the spot that has become special to me. Joining me today @elizaq . The story goes on a cold January night in 2018 I asked Eliza, in her heart of hearts, “No bull shit, do you want to run Boston? An answer of yes was the reply. I said, “Okay. Then we shoot for Boston.” She qualified at Berlin that September and chased down the unicorn last April. 🙌 Screen capture credit: @documentary_runner #bulldogrunningtours #suicidehillracingclub #TeamRunNYC #Bridgerunners #nurvv https://www.instagram.com/p/B_OWn-kHhT1/?igshid=1q0opiynwdo2p
