I got a "big girl" stethoscope to inspire my dream of pursuing a nursing degree. Ironically, as a circulating nurse we don't use stethoscopes, but that doesn't stop me from thinking about my goal to be a CRNA every time I see the anesthetists in surgery listening to our patient's lungs for trach placement.
