All my ammonites plus a Lopha and a Belemnite. As a kid I was told they were related, as in "The Belemnite curved into the Lopha which curved into the ammonite." Don't think that is true, especially considering Lopha is a bivalve fossil. Also a nummulite, which, to this day, I don't really understand them as the organism they were lol.

So sad this was cut from the English 😭 I assume because it was deemed too scary, but the team have been quite vocal about how they haven’t shied away from the darker themes, so it’s very poopy of Sky if that IS the reason. I guess we can only hope it’ll be on the DVD, but I’m not holding my breath :/

Snufkin and Toffle read a book about pre cambrian sea it’s creatures; the nummulites, noctilucas and radiolaria… But what creature is lurking at the very bottom, in the deep darkness of the sea?
“The illustration style of this sequence follows the etched illustration style of old biology books and the cut-out animation style was matched to that. In the early stages we also explored styles more similar to Tove Jansson and what we already created for the opening titles of the series. However, the sepia toned and raw illustration style supports the somewhat eerie atmoshere of this story moment very well.”, Piñata illustrator Tuomas describes the visual choices made in the process.
