Yes. I just didn’t bother showing them in favor of focusing on the important content. Generally speaking, if encounters aren’t shown, it’s safe to assume the enemies haven’t changed enough to really justify that kinda filler.

I think the person Undyne remembers in her fight is more likely to be Asgore, especially considering she later makes this comparison between the player and him.

I always thought this was about Asgore, since I imagined he would have said something similar the first time Undyne tried to fight him, trying to calm her down with that

While Undyne does make a comparison between Frisk and Asgore in the battle after her hangout (”You’re a wimpy loser with a big heart! Just like him…”), this comparison is specifically about Frisk’s kindness. During her boss battle, it’s more likely that Undyne remembers Papyrus when Frisk says they “just want to be friends.” As previously stated, the reason for this is that Papyrus is adamant about making friends!
Regardless of how Frisk responds to Papyrus’ question, he will readily befriend the human.
Seen when Frisk says “no” to his question “Are you wearing X?” and does not switch clothing.
Seen when Frisk says “yes” to his question “Are you wearing X?”, then switches clothing.
This desire for being friends with both Frisk and Undyne is likely why Papyrus is adamant about the two becoming friends as well!
Unlike Papyrus, however, there is no mention about Asgore having such a strong desire for friendships or asking Undyne to be friends. Instead, he offers to train her. Undyne likely sees Asgore more as her mentor rather than friend.
How's school so far?
*Frisk says in a quiet, nervous voice “I-It’s going really well actually. Most of the other students are nice, and most of the teachers like having a human in theirclasses. In cases where the random encounters would be the same, I choose not to show them so that I may focus on the important scenes. That isn’t to say that I won’t go back later and show them with Papyrus in action, but as IF already has so many minibosses and other elements, I prefer to focus on the fights that count.HOWEVER, Fort Aquarius will feature a few random encounters, as it is a new dungeon!

Okay, so you swapped around the characters, but you did it in pairs. So let's call the first member of each pair group 1, and the second member group 2. Logically, that means that your "Group 1" would be Toriel, Papyrus, Undyne, Asriel, and Mettaton, and "Group 2" would be Asgore, Sans, Alphys, Chara and Napstablook, except for some reason Mettaton is in Group 2 and Napstablook is in Group 1... Unless you've been misleading us, u little sneak. =)
There is no group like you think it is. It’s just in pairs with two characters as said in the FAQ.
And why the hell would I mislead people when the proof has already been shown with the Waterfall flashback? I’m not a jerk.
Are we ever gonna hear what was gonna happen on Ask Error?
Yup! Once Aftertale is done, I’m gonna work on Gloomverse, and also go full force into a series of comics/text that describe the story of Ask Error! It won’t be like the asks of course, but it WILL give readers the entire story, and the important parts will be done in comic form.
