thinking about it, there’s probably a lot of peeps that got dragged in by the music. what i mentioned was my first exposure, the one that actually got me to look into the series was probably the theme of miss touhou herself.

speaking of Warlocks, do you know or have an opinion on the 3.5 Warlock and why he is like that (as far as I understand it, basically a Sorcerer but edgier)?
Warlocks are like rangers in D&D: the game’s designers like the core idea of the class, but can’t agree on any of the particulars, so it’s basically a completely different class from edition to edition. The 2E version is an alternative wizard for campaign settings where arcane magic is a corrupting influence that eventually mutates you into gross monster; the 3E version is an edgy superhero; the 4E version is a Cthulhu cultist ninja; and the 5E version – in keeping with 5E’s must-please-everyone mission statement – tries to do all three of those things at once, with predictably mixed results. there seemed to be a pretty big update for Undertale on Steam recently, like 90mb or something. Do you know anything about that? (or did my Steam just do something weird?)

Yes! While I haven’t had the time to examine the changes, plenty of others have already taken a look. There have been two updates – 1.05 and 1.05A. According to the dataminers on /r/Underminers, a new string has been added to the code with 1.05A – “HE IS.” It’s unknown what this means and many have already started speculating.
Personally, I am more excited about the “new” dialogue in the game. I say “new” since these lines already existed within the code, but only now can they be seen in the game. It’ll be fun to play again and see the changes!

is both the left-hand-grapple beam and the arm cannon grapple beam canon?
The left-handed grapple beam is only seen in the three Prime games, while the arm cannon grapple beam is used in Super Metroid, Other M, and Samus Returns. I guess that means both are canon, just different. Maybe post-Prime trilogy Samus modified her arm cannon for grapple beam compatibility? When you’re swinging through the air, it’s probably more convenient to keep your free hand spare rather than your clunky gun, so you can pull yourself up onto ledges afterwards.
Even though she can get depression or other mental illnesses for a while, it is impossible for Mokou to permanently lose the will to live or get insane, as her immortal soul will heal her mind over time, just as it does with her body
