I draw comics sometimes

Sure! I apologize for any of the annoying AI voicework in these videos, but it was the visuals that were the most helpful for me! I also want to point out practically every video on my list is related to lighting and color work! I feel like I (mostly) got a good handle on anatomy and perspective, so all my focus was lighting/color experimentation!

Video about monochromatic shading: This was one of the main videos I used with the Frieren piece. I didn't color pick anything from an actual drawing of her, I just tried to keep to purples and blues. Usually I color pick, so this was a fun challenge and tested me!

Two of my biggest art inspirations are Yoneyama Mai, and Mika Pikazo! I studied a lot of Pikazo's work, but lately I've noticed a weak spot in terms of high-contrast lighting? I wanted to figure out how artists make light POP, so I got a bunch of those on my feed.

I was watching some coloring tutorials and trying to strengthen how I light things! I also wanted to toy with less saturated pieces. Honestly, I love how it came out but I have so much more fun working with wilder colors! I definitely learned a lot though, that I plan on putting in my future works. <3 Originally the canvas was 11x17, but halfway through I got kinda sick of working on it so I made it a square canvas.

I've been doing art but not posting for some reason?? Sorry yall. Here's some of my recent pieces. Been playing even more with coloring style and flow lines and all that <3

Gideon was drawn first, I used a new pen and played with super thick lineart. For something like Gideon the Ninth I feel the effect worked great!

The Maomao the line art stayed thick and kinda messy, and of course I played with a billion effects and colors. I also downloaded a nice 'dust' brush that made all the glittery dust on the image, and I ADORE it.

Final piece was just some demon girl. I wanted to go with Orange, Green, Purple, but of course I added a million other colors too, because it's me. I actually kind of stunned myself with how this one turned out?? The eyes man, THE EYES. The HAIR! AUGH. I'm SO proud of her <3

Also it reminds me I probably need to work on my facial anatomy more? It feels like she turned out perfect by accident and I want ALL my pieces to look like this!

Today I'm trying to get myself back into making work for myself, not just for cons (Or perhaps not just reading all day lol) so I opened up Clip Studio and just. Started messing with the charcoal pen, the dry ink pen, literally just whatever I wanted to do to draw my OC Vulture, or her real name Clarimonde.

My creative slump has been SUPER bad (As you can tell from my lack of posts on here!) but I'm trying to get myself out of it with no pressure pieces.

Also all the bugs are just cockroaches that I moved around the legs and shortened the body to turn them into something new. Did a bunch of charcoal and color work to make them fit with the piece.

I rarely draw such messy dark images but MAN its very fun and freeing!! I hope yall like it <3

I was just playing with posca markers! My girlfriend really got me into them <3 This was done on an 8x8 board canvas. Took a WHILE for sure.

Technically I have 28 chapters written for Book 1, and I'm still ironing out the details for Book 2 (I know what Book 2 is about, but I had to reign in too many ideas to the most important focus for the story).

A reminder that the series is rated Mature for depictions of violence and gore! And if anyone is worried, NO, my series will never contain SA or graphic sexual material. At most, maybe something will be implied, but that is it.

I do also have physical copies of the book that came in, but I've been so busy I haven't had the chance to stock them in my etsy!

I know the age rating is high (17+) most specifically for violence, gore and drug use, compared to the stuff people know me for, so I want to make sure to navigate the higher age rating properly and not just expose some of it to younger audiences?

I'd love to hear yalls opinions on how you think the best way I should share it should be.

OMG SHE LOOKS INCREDIBLE!!!!

Been working on the visuals for the chapters! I'm currently writing chapter 18, but I want almost every chapter to have a visual attached.

I already have like 7 of the visuals finished, but I wanted to showcase a few of them. And I just finished that visual of the Goddess of Fear last night and I just. Kinda had to show her off lol

I also want to clarify this novel is ABSOLUTELY 17+, horror fantasy, for gore and violence. I figure the more visceral chapters will be linked elsewhere to read, since I don't want anyone younger to stumble on those ones.

Since the novel is a blend of medieval fantasy, and desert terrain, I looked back at the artwork of plague doctors specifically from the 1300s. The main character being a 'vulture' aka, this worlds version of a plague doctor, I wanted to try and emulate the styles of the time period if I could. Or perhaps, if I couldn't emulate the period entirely, I wanted to play with ideas based from it.

This image was the primary inspiration for the visuals of the story for sure.

I suspect I have about 5 or so chapters to go- maybe even downward to like 3-4, depending on how the characters choose to behave in these next few scenes.

Being the last part of the book, and especially with whats happening, this is gonna be a rough one to finish, but I think it's worth it.

After that I figured I'd post it all publicly online, a chapter or two every week, and hopefully do a print run? You know how much I love doing those.

I realized too that the entire novel has been worked on within only 4 and a half months. Not gonna lie. Its SO nice getting through a story this quickly, I just.

Fucking love writing novels so much. This will be the first, but wont be the last.
