The pasteurized juice thing. I was told by a pregnant friend that I couldn’t have fresh OJ when I was preggers, because pregnant women can only drink pasteurized things. Seems there’s a sort of magical portal of evil that the juice must pass through between the fruit, my hand juicer, and my glass. I asked, “But I can just eat the fruit, right?” She was like, “Well…I guess so.” I Still don’t get it. My child will apparently be lucky to get out of me alive.
