Re: The meaning of the word "re" in TG:re
I think nuclearhugs has a really interesting theory! It’s true that TG:re as of now provides the perspective of the other party (CCG) instead of the ghouls’ (which TG focuses more on).
It is possible that TG:re is kinda like a reply to TG, giving the perspective of the other party, and also providing answers TG has posed.

I also think it’s possible that ‘re’ is a reference to ‘again’. Words like ‘restart’, ‘redo’, ‘refresh’ is what often comes to my mind, and given that Kaneki / Haise has been given a fresh beginning in his life now that he lost his memories and has gained a new identity, I think it’s probably one of the intended meanings behind ‘re’.
It might also mean that TG:re will have parallels to TG (in line with the ‘again’ theme). In addition I also think that at some point of the manga, we will go ‘backwards’ / ‘back to the starting point’, meaning that Haise will try to find answers in his past and recall his memories.
[Also I hope that he will finally have answers to the questions he had before, and remember one of the resolutions (wish? hope? goal?) he had ie. to bridge the gap between the ghoul world and the human world].

Given that Ishida-sensei is the king of puns and liked playing with double meanings, I’m quite sure that ‘re’ is intended to have several meanings, so I think it’s very likely that the above theories are all true. :)Â
