UGC NET 2025: Exam Dates, Pattern, Eligibility & Preparation Guide
The UGC NET 2025 (National Eligibility Test), conducted by NTA, determines eligibility for Assistant Professor posts and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Indian universities/colleges. Tentatively scheduled for June and December 2025, the exam comprises two computer-based papers:
Paper 1: Teaching aptitude, reasoning, and general awareness (50 MCQs).
Paper 2: Subject-specific knowledge (100 MCQs). Eligibility requires a Master’s degree (or equivalent) with ≥55% marks (50% for reserved categories). Candidates must carefully select their subject code during UGC NET 2025 registration. Preparation demands understanding the updated syllabus, practicing previous years’ papers, and mastering time management. Key changes (if any) will be notified via the official notification at ugcnet.nta.ac.in. Qualifying opens doors to academia and research, making UGC NET 2025 a critical milestone for aspiring educators and scholars. Early preparation with NCERT texts, mock tests, and focused revision is advised for success.
