the site of the former klingelpütz prison, which gained notoriety mainly for the crimes committed there during the ns dictatorship, but was also a place of judicial scandals and arbitrariness before and after its closure, is now a park. this park, together with the adjacent school grounds, is now a green oasis and a place of well-being. nevertheless, one should always remember where the name of the place comes from and the terror and lack of freedom associated with it.
dort, wo sich einst das gefängnis klingelpütz befand, welches vor allem wegen der verbrechen, die dort während der ns-diktatur stattfanden, traurige bekanntheit erlangte, aber auch davor und danach bis zu seiner schließung ein ort von justizskandalen und willkür war, befindet sich nun ein park. dieser mit angrenzendem schulcampus ist nun eine grüne oase und wohlfühlort. trotzdem sollte einem immer im gedächtnis bleiben, woher der name des ortes kommt und welch terror und unfreiheit damit verbunden ist.
