my neurologist and mom think my tics are caused by my medication but theyve been happening for so much longer than ive been taking my medication. they also say that i dont have tourettes because no one else in my family has it, can i not be the first?
Most people with TS donโt have a diagnosed family member (mostly because diagnoses only started happening in the last 15 years). Itโs like saying you canโt have cancer because thereโs no family history of it. Only you know what your tics feel like, so only you can explain to them why theyโre wrong.
Can a tic be caused by an outside force? like being startled or poked or grabbed? cause I do that, along with a lot of other tics. My friends used to call me Squeaky Toy cause they thought it was cute.
Sure it can! Tics can come from anywhere and can be set off by anything.
i have a ghost in my house, but no one ever believes me when i tell them. even when theres no explanation, and theyve heard/ seen evidence of it. once a dog ghost left muddy pawprints in an area where my dogs cant go. no one could offer up an explanation.
