Do you want to know a secret? One of my biggest struggles is how I look and what people think of me. I wonder if they like me, if I had look acceptable to them, or do I look fat, pretty enough, smart enough, fill in the blank enough... I've always wanted to be able to do my hair and dress well and feel like I look presentable to the world every day but that is something I just struggle with and is not where my talents lie. And what I've come to learn is that it's OK to be happy with who I am and not care what people think of me. I do think it is important to have some understanding of what they think especially in some of the jobs that we have where being able to influence people in a school environment, a workplace, or a circle of friends for example is important. What is equally important is to not let those thoughts change you into somebody you do not want to become. The only person you should change for is YOU. If you like who you are -stay the same, if you want to change - change, but be whoever you want to be. Further, BE that person every day. I don't want to hide who I am, I don't want to hide my smile, what I'm passionate about, or who I want to spend time with, or where I want to go, or how I want to make the world a better place.
