With series and movies being as popular as they are, anime has started to get a lot more recognition in areas and countries where they were simply dismissed as "kids cartoons" before.
The title "otaku" has been bestowed upon those who have wached more than just the mainstream favourites. If you know a non-mainstream anime, you're good, but if you know all the characters' names, then you're amazing.
But today, let's talk about who your favourite anime character is, and why you feel he/she/they should gain more recognition in their respective anime.

so today i watched “Autism in Love”. It was beautiful. (to say the least) i recommend it.
strangely (and maybe not all that strange) i found myself agreeing with a lot of what they went (go) through. (more specifically a mix between Lindsey and Lenny)
When they spoke about the struggles of what it was like growing up with Autism; the fears and insecurities, the alienation, building walls for one's own protection, the difficulty of communication and mutual understanding... the list goes on. it strongly resonates with me. and i immediately thought: “maybe i have a slight bit of autism myself” And immediately after that, i chastised myself for thinking in that manner and over-generalizing what it is to have an ‘other ability’. no this does not make me a hypochondriac
having [insert mental, personality, or physical disorder] is not like having a seasoning. you don't have a sprinkle of this or a pinch of that. you don't get to choose--as if you were ordering your favorite custom-made drink at starbucks. It is not a fad like rubberband pants or neon bows and facial stickers.
Those who have disorders or other abilities did not choose to do so.

i hate that people are making having disorders the next ‘thing’ like oh yeah we ALL have anxiety disorders. i get that, in a way, (at least at first) you are spreading awareness and making it known that it is an actual thing and not something made up -trust me, i appreciate it- But i feel as though there are people who make it seem like the next thing to have after stellar brows and bee-sting lips. and when that happens it really takes the focus away from trying to <<actually>> help those who suffer from [insert disorder here] in this case anxiety. stop mixing up that one time you had stage fright or nervous butterflies with an actual disorder that people live with every day, hour, minute, second.
Disclaimer: i really, truly, appreciate those whose seek to understand and enlighten themselves, and i in no mean wish or intend to offend ANYONE. so i do apologize if my words are rash or they don't make sense. i am not a writer. and by no means do i consider myself an expert on any of the topics mentioned above, i am simply stating a personal observation. if you do have any questions about what i said please feel free to ask me. i do not guarantee that i will have the answer you are looking for but i will try.

Indie Apps: Tomato World.
I have never played this indie game before nor have I heard of it however I have chosen it as it appears to be an adventure platform game which only had 574 people play it and made it's way up to four stars, it only has one function and that is to jump through 45 levels and 8 enemies that you cannot attack. It's sequel; Tomato World 2 was also rated four stars however it just has the minimal amount of 618 people. It's challenging as it claims but I cannot tell what it's like though it's function of just jumping to avoid enemies and unable to attack sounds familiar though I do not know what game that existed before Tomato World; could've been a mainstream game like Super Meat Boy where it's a game of memorizing as you cannot attack but only avoid getting hit plus the feature of jumping.
Celtic music will always be around, even if with the mainstream crowds it dies out.
Natalie MacMaster I’ve discovered a common theme with a few of my fave films and tv series. A reliance on Celtic inspired music.
