Songs for Ireland
To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, I will be trying to share one of my favorite songs each day by an artist or band from Ireland each day for the month of March.

WHY I LOVE THIS SONG: Sure, this is a Scottish tune by way of Cape Breton in Nova Scotia, but you're three sheets to the wind by now and who can deny the fine fiddling , singing, and rhythm on display.

Oh geez, I gotta think of three?!? Okey dokes. Here goes.
My brain refuses to believe that I am actually at Mass( church for Catholics, to all the protestants out there), unless I am attending in a language other than English. I've attended Masses in French( my mother tongue), Polish, Latin, and Ukrainian. All great. In English? My brain thinks I'm pulling a practical joke.
I read The Silmarillion when I was 13 and I considered it, at the time, one of the funnest books I'd ever read.
If I was only allowed to listen to 3 artists' music for the rest of my life they would be( outing myself as a canadian here) ; Natalie MacMaster, Loreena Mckennitt and David Bowie. No ifs, no ands, no my-mind-will-change-in-a-few-months. Those three are the defining pinnacle of music for me. 'Nuff said.

I am, and I love her! One of the few CDs that I personally owned growing up had a track with her on it that I listened to over and over, and one of the saddest days of my life was when the CD got scratched and the track was messed up. Now I can listen to it on spotify though, so all is well lol
She's actually gonna be in concert near me in March, and I really want to go!
