#not enough memory

Auf der Website von Space Engineers steht bei den minimalen Systemanforderungen 8 GB Arbeitsspeicher. Mein Laptop hat nur 4 GB RAM. Kein Wunder, dass Space Engineers extrem langsam läuft – es braucht weit mehr als 4 GB Speicher, das bedeutet, dass Teile des Speichers auf die SSD ausgelagert werden. Zwar ist eine SSD schon schneller als eine Festplatte, aber im Gegensatz zu RAM immer noch sehr langsam.

Jetzt wird mir auf jeden Fall einiges klar. Der Grund, warum Space Engineers auf dem einen anderen Laptop so gut läuft, ist nicht etwa, dass der eine bessere Grafikkarte hat oder so. Nein: er hat 8 GB RAM.

Solange ich nur 4 GB RAM habe, kann ich Space Engineers wohl vergessen.

Keen, ich glaube, ihr habt noch einiges an Optimierung zu tun. .___.

4. Frida Vigdorova's The Road to Life trilogy (never translated to English, which is one of life's greatest tragedies, tbh)

5. Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon - I picked it up because the cover spoke to me; it turned out to be about a boy who picks up a book because the cover speaks to him, and changes the course of his life.

6. Vintner's Luck by Elizabeth Knox - don't ever watch the film; read the book. It's incredible.

7. Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie - amazing writing, characters, commentary. Just beautiful. I'm still in a fog from it.

8. The Road Goes Off into the Distance by Alexandra Brushtein - also never translated, which is sad. It's a family thing; we've all read it. We've all loved it.

9. CAPTIVE PRINCE by C. S. Pacat - YEAH I SAID IT. YEAH. I DID. IT'S FUCKING AMAZING. I KEEP TRYING TO WILL THE THIRD BOOK INTO EXISTENCE WITH THE POWERS OF MY MIND BUT IT HASN'T HAPPENED YET; I'LL KEEP YOU POSTED
