Headcanon winged Norman Bones
and forever goodbye.
Im genuinely so heartbroken about how Pestilence and Osheira's story ended, in the best way. Because here is someone who has slowly been losing EVERYTHING. First the Lost, then her job as an officer, and now she's just lost her years long relationship with someone she genuinely loved. (And isn't that a terrifying implication as well, that the only thing she can bring herself to say about the situation is that she "ran from him". Poor O.)
But then the being that she cares about almost like a father figure comes to say goodbye, because his time in the human world is over. She put so much of herself into helping him fix the balance, and now it's paid off and she has no idea what to do with herself. Pestilence, who protected her from Winston, who saved her sister's life, who carved his fucking seal into her side to claim her as his own so that Norman couldn't touch her.
And then he proves to her that despite everything Norman said, he truly does care about her in whatever cosmic way he can. He leaves her the poems and letters he's collected from Arthur and others, and he tells her to take care of his car when he's gone. The final "goodbye little one, i'll be watching." omg i literally teared up.
So excited to see where this goes from here now that osheira and kian are no longer together, because what the fuck happened there. So many thoughts.
Honestly shout out to Connor for his fucking voice acting. The way he's playing Pestilence this time around is very impressive. The similarities and differences between Isaac and Pesto's voices, the way Pesto is so menacing and yet so terrifyingly convincing. The cheerful, creepy little "I'll be watching!" to end every conversation. I have no idea whether he's lying about his intentions towards Death or not. It's an incredibly compelling storyline.
