· Baby: Muse is pregnant and due in ____. (Father specified by anon)
It pierced the woman’s tongue like fire; her taste buds began to salivate at the thought of a craving. Pregnant women would crave pickles, chocolate, pizza or any sort of combination of food that one would normally turn their nose up on. Those were women who weren’t Norma Bates. She craved something virginally pure and happy, and then something horrid and dark.
She was now pregnant with her third child. All of her children were different, and they all had different fathers. John was an early love in which the pairs flame had faded. Or at least Norma blew out their candle to ignite another. She began to sleep around with Sam Bates. Their meaningless fling took a turn into something more filling. She had always felt distant from Dylan- ever since she and John began to have a falling out she took it out on her eldest son. Becoming pregnant for the second time was a blessing to Norma. It was a second chance at being a mother and while carryingNormanwithin her womb, she felt an undying connection to the baby.
Norma thought, cursing herself inside her head. “It’s just you and me. It’s always been.”
Her son’s words echoed in her ear canals and washed a shore in her mind. A smile curled upon her lips trying to remember how happy and how inseparable her and Norman once were. After all, the boy had saved her from her own demons and glooms. Lately thoughNormanwas always going out and seemed to have lost interest in his mother. The lack of interest began to infuriate Norma with a deep level of sadness and rage. Her bipolar emotions caused her to often lash out.
Why had she been sleeping with Zack Shelby? In her mind she summoned up the reason to get close to the cop in order to ease her families ties to a murder case. She was protecting her family, she was protectingNorman. Yet, there was an underlying reason that she had buried deep within the pits of her mind- she wanted to make her son jealous. Make him jealous in hopes of him coming back to her instead of letting others take him away.
She wanted him, and she wanted him to feel the guilt of leaving her. “I’m fine.” She repeated tattooing the two words in her son’s mind. She wasn’t fine and she was smart enough to know that her son would become guilt ridden knowing for a fact that she wasn’t. Fact is he was growing tired of his mother, and expected Norma to just sit and watch him fade away like one of his stuffed animals. She loved him, and wanted him to pay for making her feel such ways.
Now pregnant, six months, Norma sighed heavily sitting in a wooden dining room chair. One hand rested happily on her stomach. Her hand was a symbol of her state of bliss. Her being so happy to be blessed with another child. This child would be another chance. The child would be one who would never leave her, to fill her needs, to mend their world with hers. She would be attached to the child leavingNormanout of the picture, to let it all just eat him alive. To make him think long and hard about the pain he had caused her, for all the times she made a hardy meal for two and he never showed. He just always kept her waiting, and now with a new child,Normanwould feel some of the pain she had acquired.
Norma’s other hand rested upon the thin blade of her kitchen ware butchers knife. It was slick, and she knew if she picked it up just right, she could slide it in with ease into her stomach and kill the child she held. The child was nothing to her, just a meaningless creation that she and Zack had made.Normanwasn’t meaningless, he was never meaningless. She wasn’t going to allow the baby inside of her to take her away fromNorman.Normanneeded her. She needed to take care of him. After all each other was all they had.
The torn blond let another sigh slip her from her lips, her pale eyes staring at the handle of the knife. Her fingers wrapped around it almost sensually and she lifted the knife, pursing her lips with a stamped grin.
