“Uhhh Hi. I was wondering if you have any rooms available?”

Norma was sitting in her desk as always till she heard a voice winch made her jump and close the laptop imediately and she looked up with a kind smile “ oh ..hi sure sure we do … have number 9 and 6” she replied

     “ no matter how many people tell me that it’s not my fault, my brain just… it doesn’t want to listen. ”  tears prickled the bottom of her eyes as her tongue jutted out to moisten her lips. it felt like a lost cause, trying to get help and just constantly having people saying the same thing over and over. deep down, emma knew it wasn’t her fault; that didn’t stop the guilt from rearing its ugly head, though.  “ i feel responsible. my mind just keeps nagging the what-if’s and no one is letting me talk long enough to even try to work through everything. it’s just the automatic response that i shouldn’t feel that way as if there’s a way i’m supposed to be feeling. ”  shaking her head, emma let out a hollow laugh before wiping the fallen tears with the ball of her balm. finally looking over at her companion that was sitting on the hood of her car next to her, she shrugged her shoulders lightly.  “ i’m just tired of having people tell me what i should and shouldn’t feel as if i could control it. and, funny enough, this is the most i’ve ever been allowed to talk without someone interrupting me. so… thanks– for listening. ”

Norma shifted slightly on the hood, the metal creaking softly beneath her as she turned toward Emma. Her expression wasn’t rushed, wasn’t corrective and warm “Oh, sweetheart…” she said gently, her voice low and careful, like she was handling something fragile but important. “You don’t owe anyone a ‘right way’ to feel. That’s not how this works. Feelings aren’t polite guests that wait their turn and behave themselves—they’re messy, and loud, and sometimes they don’t make a bit of sense.”She reached out, brushing a tear from Emma’s cheek with her thumb, the gesture instinctive, maternal “And those ‘what-ifs’?” Norma continued, shaking her head slightly. “They can dig their claws in real deep. They make you think if you just go over everything one more time, you’ll find the moment you could’ve changed it… fixed it… saved it. But that’s a trick, honey. That’s your mind trying to give you control over something that never really was in your hands to begin with.”She let that sit for a second, not pushing it, just offering it.”I’m not going to tell you what you should or shouldn’t feel,” she added, a little firmer now, but still kind. “If you feel responsible, then that’s what you feel. We can sit with that. We can talk it through. You don’t have to edit yourself to make other people comfortable.”Norma’s lips curved into a soft, reassuring smile.”And for the record? You can take all the time you need. I’m not going anywhere. You wanna go through every single ‘what-if’ your brain throws at you, we will. One by one. No rushing. No shutting you down.”She nudged Emma lightly with her shoulder.“You’re not too much. And you’re not a lost cause. You’re just hurting—and that deserves space, not silence.”

Norma was in kitchen just coming back from the store reading to get the food till she sees the gossip girl notification she were losing her mind already oh my god she thought who could write all that about her ? Was every town that evil? People spring gossips about her she hates that more than anything and she hit that very hard till she heard a voice and sighed “ I’m fine!” She almost sound like she was yelling but it was one of those moments where she was having a mental breakdown she can’t handle stress it was to much for her.

She exhales softy but it’s the kind of controlled breath that’s more irritation than calm. “ i am actually breathing” she says smoothing the wrinkle from her sleeve “I just don’t enjoy surprises—especially the sort that tend to unravel entire evenings. Or reputations.”Her gaze flicks over him cool.” And forgive me if I’m not reassured by ‘I can only do so much.’ Back in Velaris were terrifyingly competent. Here you’re telling me you’re… what? Limited?” A slight tilt of her head. “That’s not exactly comforting.” She folded her arms posture immaculate.” I have no idea what are you talking about—- I’m not!” She didn’t like that

Norma tilted her head, eyes soft but burning with conviction.”Oh honey, don’t you dare say that. You’re not cursed. The world is cursed. They take and take until there’s nothing left, and then they look at you like you’re the problem.”She reached out, her voice lowering, protective and intense.”you just haven’t met someone who deserves you yet. And maybe that’s a good thing. Maybe it means you’ve been spared. Because letting the wrong person in… that’s how they ruin you. That’s how they change you. And you don’t deserve to be changed. You deserve someone who sees you exactly as you are and never, ever lets you feel alone.” A faint, knowing smile crossed her face.”And until then, you don’t need them. You’re stronger than you think. Stronger than all of them.”

Norma’s expression softened but there was a flicker in her eyes something fierce something protective.“Oh sweetheart… no. No don’t do that to yourself.” She shook her head gently like she was brushing the thought away before it could settle. “That’s what happens when you’ve been disappointed too many times. You start thinking maybe it must be you. Maybe you’re the flaw in the pattern.”She gave a small almost sad smile.“Being imperfect doesn’t make you cursed. It makes you human. Do you know how rare it is for someone to even admit they haven’t always been the best partner? Most people go their whole lives blaming everyone else. The fact that you can look at yourself and wonder… that tells me you care. And people who care aren’t doomed they are learning and let me tell you something the right person won’t need you to be perfect. They won’t keep score. They won’t make you feel like you’re some kind of storm that ruins everything you touch. They’ll see your rough edges and stay anyway “

Norma blinked at her then gave her a soft smile “ oh honey” she siad gently smooshed an imaginary wrinkle from her blouse. “If that was magic … it was the lazier magic I’ve ever had seen “ She held up the phone like it was a slightly misbehaving teacup.“It’s not sorcery. It’s just… instructions. Everything in this world runs on instructions. You press something it responds like a very obedient dog. Or a very disobedient one if you don’t press the right spot.”She tilted her head at Violet cleary amused “You didn’t wake a spirit. You just pushed the little button on the side and spoke clearly. People make these things to listen. They’re built to.”Norma leaned a little closer lowering her voice as if sharing a secret.”And between you and me? If it were magic I would expect far more drama. A puff of smoke at the very least.”

Norma didn’t flinch she just watched her for a second really watched her the way she always did when someone pretended they weren’t bothered.” Well….” She begin her tone bieng light “ some men do make you wonder how they’ve survived this long without walking into traffic” she offered her a smile and she noticed it” you’re shaking “ she added eyes dropping to Nesta’s hands before lifting back up. Not accusing “ I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve whatever you thinking “ she went on “ I’m just saying umm… when someone gets under your skin like that it’s usually because they hit something that was already sore”she keep her gaze on the women “ And I don’t like the idea of anyone thinking they can speak to you like that and walk away feeling taller for it” she paused “ people like him?” She scoffed “ Honey they bark because that’s what they do because is the only way they could get a reaction from you or the only way someone pay attention to their words “she walks over and place a arm around her “ come on let’s get out of here and have some coffee or something stronger “ she added under her breath “ you can insult him properly where it quiet “
