So I see Aaron and Ben arenāt in the spoilers for next week yet again.Ā I am happy with this as I really donāt want to see them on-screen, but I am so confused about what the plan is here.Ā I understand with COVID there are bubbles and fewer actors on set, but is this not meant to be a story?Ā So far it has been a handful of scenes over a couple of episodes and weeks. The show has been rubbish for ages along with the stories and introduction of new characters, but they seemed to have managed it better with Meena and Mack who have at least interacted with different people and seem to have their own personalities and stories going on.Ā With no on/off going for a drink and round in circles with Aaron, Ben could be interacting with people he works with, making friends etc.Ā He feels like a complete and utter plot device right now with no purpose beyond Aaron, which doesnāt really sound like a developed, long term character.Ā The pacing still massively confuses me, the first week spoilers and scenes seemed like they were going to be dating by the Friday. If the show knew it was going to be a slower thing than that, why not have Ben hate Aaron originally and they are forced to work together or something whilst Ben thaws and they become friends first.Ā It would make more sense and would lead to more screen time.Ā Of course, we donāt know Danny and Simonās schedules, but after this year with Aaron being on screen so little anyways, (literally must be his lowest screen count since later 2009), I kind of doubt that it is there decision.Ā No-one will read this anyway, but wanted to get my thoughts down.Ā Forever hoping this is a revenge plot or something on Benās part to make it make more sense and so I donāt really need to watch a relationship with them.Ā Honestly, if a normal relationship continued as they started it would be the dullest thing ever, so revenge, controlling etc relationship would be more interesting, screen time and award bait.

BEN: Unclear. Iām just here to be relentlessly naive and positive about saving the HOP from going under. Did I mention that the survival challenge went horrifically wrong and someone literally didnāt survive and several other people nearly lost their lives and I might be held responsible for it?
AARON: *Disinterested Face* Eh, get a new job.Ā
BEN: BUT KAYAKāS ARE MY LIFE AND ONLY CHARACTER TRAIT! Plus I just really want to be super helpful to everyone throwing me under the bus at the HOP because CARE about everyone!
AARON: Typical you innit? Doing what the plot requires because you have no character otherwise.Ā
BEN: *Beams* So youāll help me hang up all of these flyers I made?
AARON: Thatās not done by Robert Sugden Designs! Er...I mean...Iām pretty ambivalent about it.Ā
BEN: Do it for me (and the Plot)!
AARON: Oh alright. Wow I miss when the Plot didnāt care about me at all.

BEN: Iām a real character! Honest! I mean...at least the Plot is trying to make me be one this week! (I wonder if thatās a bad sign?) Iāll get a lawyer!
