If emmerdale were being smart about their vertical content they would borrow the ‘back to ours’ concept that eastenders did a few years ago where the actors from different character groups sat down and watched and talked about old scenes etc. I know I would watch the hell out of a robron one with Danny and Ryan but they could do it with Jeff and Nat too plus Nick and Nicola (while there’s still time 😢) or one with Emma and Lucy there’s lots of characters it could work with! I wanted to have something for every day of the event and I thought that drabbles would be the best way to do that 😊

Day 1: 2014

Unadulterated Loathing

Inspired by this: “So, come on. Was it love at first sight?” “No. I hated him.”

Aaron hates him.

He hates the smug smirk on his face as he pretends to call the police. Hates how the arrogant asshole acts like lord of the manor, when he’s really just a lodger. He hates his floppy blond hair and impossible green eyes. He hates that Robert wasted his time with a fake breakdown and a kiss that went nowhere. He hates how perfect it felt tangled together in the back of that car. But mostly, he hates that underneath every reason he has against Robert, lurks one awful truth: maybe he doesn’t hate Robert at all.

And he hates himself for it.
