Finally got round to starting The Diplomat this evening which is already great. I’m 2 episodes in and unfortunately Keri Russel and Rufus Sewell have insane chemistry so I will be shipping their no doubt toxic and no doubt doomed marriage for the foreseeable future.

Okay you’re not going to give me 2 full seasons of Kate and Hal gorgeous chemistry then 2 episodes into s3 I’m supposed to just want them to split up??? I do not want her with dull Dennison I’m sorry.

Obviously she has to stay in London and I want her to but her and Hal’s relationship has been so central to all of it - way more than I was expecting so this just feels so fucking forced at this point.

I understand the young cast and the lesser known actors because their livelihoods depend on the one chance they get and a franchise this massive could help them and their families I get that not ideal wish life was different but I get it …

The more established UK actors the ones that clearly do not need this, what is their excuse ??! Their income and livelihood doesn’t depend on it! Their careers do not depend on it! So Why ?!!!

Yep I can’t understand it?? If JK Rowling wasn’t a massive transphobe and they were still doing this series I get jumping at the chance if you grew up with it - I probably would. But this is such a clear cut case of you know exactly where the money is going because she won’t fucking shut up about it!!

Those who are already very established I hope they have to justify themselves for the rest of their careers. Saying ‘I don’t agree but…’ is not good enough in this case. Especially when you’re already a successful actor who probably rarely auditions for anything anymore.
