oh man. preface that i may be biased because i’m nonbinary but
- getting the biggest most controversial one out of the way first: to me luke gives enby swag. maybe he’s a demiboy but like focus on the demi.
- grievous is nonbinary to me because you can’t tell me he transhumanized that hard and had binary gender or really any gender left.
- luminara unduli, and i will die on that hill.
- chirrut. no gender only the force.
- far be it from me to assign gender to player characters but i’m convinced canon revan and meetra are both nonbinary. visas is too.
- i know their language is literally binary but you can’t tell me droids do gender like that. especially not the astromechs.
- greedo, just because it’s funny.
- enfys nest, other hill i will die on.
- maz kanata
- grogu because obviously the only gender there is baby
- not 100% sure because of my limited investment in the sequels but rey demigirl maybe? at least in tfa.
i used to also hc mon mothma as nonbinary for ages but i feel like andor proved me wrong. or idk maybe her egg will crack at some point between the end of andor and anh but idk. i think they very much wrote her as A Cis Woman™️, especially in s2.

Especially in quarantine, you’re on social media so often that you just... forget not everybody is queer? Forget that those characters that you hardcore hc to be nonbinary... aren’t? Forget that you can’t make gay jokes and everyone will understand them?
IT’S JUST SUCH AN ISSUE WHEN IM TALKING TO PEOPLE IN FANDOMS AND I CONTINUALLY USE THEY/THEM PRONOUNS FOR CERTAIN CHARACTERS & THEY GET CONFUSED & I GET CONFUSED UNTIL I REMEMBER IT’S JUST A HEADCANON & NOT REAL :(
