Fanfic Concept I Will Never Write #4
Dean never gets Sam from Stanford, and Jess lives (because she deserves it). At some point around that time, Dean starts a YouTube channel where he does tutorial videos based on hunting, vlogs his baby impala, and of course vlogs some of his cases like a reckless doofus.
His channel, initially called impala67 explodes as the supernatural world becomes well known, but remains unspoken in day to day life. It’s a quiet thing everyone knows but doesn’t talk about outside of internet forums y’know? And Dean is at the centre of it all. Of course Sam has no idea and is off lawyering it up 😂
You can bet he vlogs the scene where Cas first shows up in the barn, and the servers crash when the world learns angels are real 😁
Cas becomes a more regular appearance on the channel, eventually the angel becomes Dean’s permanent hunting partner, and the channel is renamed ‘Dean & Cas Hunts’ or something along those lines.
Cas mostly features as a cameraman, or present in the vlogs, but eventually he makes videos about humanity and the world, and of course bees. These videos are where Cas is his most angelic 😊 if you get what I mean. It’s like all those ‘Humans are weird’ posts where an angel rants and gushes over humanity for 30 minutes. Also his confusion over human gender norms and society.
They do QnA’s, hunting tips, and exploring the nature of humanity and angelhood. Of course their viewers ship them 🥰 But ofc they are already together coz without Sam there Dean doesn’t feel the need to deny and repress quite as much 😏
They record everything! The apocalypses, angels, somehow they get a camera working in Purgatory, and everything is uploaded after Charlie edits them and cuts or censors all the sensitive stuff (like, y’know, gore 👀) (because Charlie lives. Ye.)
Jess is an avid viewer of the channel, but doesn’t mention it to Sam assuming he already knows. He does not.
Sam eventually finds out and is SO CONFUSED!!
