i think endverse castiel tends the camp’s gardens and plays it off like he just wants to earn his keep and oh hoho there also happens to be room for some weed. aint that something nudge nudge wink wink.
but he really just likes the act of gardening and being able to tend to something and keep it alive even without his powers. it’s the last normal, peaceful and innocent thing in the apocalypse and his heart breaks when someone falls on the bed whilst hammered and it fucks up the tomatoes. the green of the leaves loses its sheen and colour and life and it just really stings. idk man
