The world where Yuri chooses this is one where she may not go home, is one where everything she’s worked for might be ripped out of her hands, but she’s all turmoil inside that’ll trip her up on the ice if she doesn’t get it out.

So she would appreciate it if Yuuri could come up with more than, “That makes sense.”

“Makes sense?” she snaps. He smiles awkwardly, hands up in apology. 

“No, wait- I mean, we’ll support you.” 

“You’d better,” she says, and then Yuuri tries to hug her, because he is awful, and she endures it. Reluctantly!
