I had to head into the centre yesterday to deposit some cheques, so I used the opposite to get some tea, a b-day present for my mum, and this t-shirt by Doon Duh Vail. It's hand stitched with "trans is beautiful" in the trans flag colours.
Honestly it's a bit of a frivolous purchase, but buying it, listening to the podcast Gender Reveal and You Don't Sound Like A Girlfriend on the drive home, and wearing it today with my secondary binder...I feel comforted. I feel held and seen. I can't explain exactly why, but I do.
Plus, it was from Scottish Design Exchange, who only sell from independence artists, and all the profit goes back to them, and Doon Duh Vail source their base shirts+etc. from ethical producers.
