Given the premise that was the infamous Hive City, there had been many things that the assistant had been becoming more and more accustomed to. This included a number of things such as random outbreaks of violence, people stealing from the market area, sudden explosions in the outer districts and other strange occurrences. It wasn't uncommon to find someone setting buildings on fire or trying to commit acts of mass destruction and sadly, some residents had told her that that was just everyday life.
She'd also become more and more aware of just how.. colorful, for a lack of a better word.. the mass population was -- some of them even seemed to of possessed magical powers, but she chalked that up to her being so anxious that she thought she was seeing things. After all, magic tricks were not unheard of from where she came from and that seemed to of been the only logically explanation.
However, if there was one thing that she was having trouble getting used to it, it was certainly the appearances of the other citizens. No that she would of judged them by any means, but... well -- why did everyone cosplay? Granted, she appreciated the dedication they owned when it came to designing their costumes, but.. when was enough enough? Or why did they dress so strangely in general? She could see if they were from another country, but a good number of them just looked rather out of the ordinary.
So, when she'd seen a young man making his way through town with a large pair of wings strapped to his back, she couldn't help but be curious.
"Aren't those things heavy? What kind of material are they made out of?"
