Is that… a Heron?

And he seems to be a royal one at that, with the white wings. But at the same time, that can’t be. There are only a few royal Herons, and Herons in general, alive. Maybe he jumped the gun on that. A scratch of the back of his head, realizing he must have made a mistake somewhere along the lines.

     “You know, maybe Mia is right.”

It’s not difficult to spot Soren in a crowd, or in this case, a par. At least, for Ike, since he knows Soren the most out of everyone. He was his right hand man after all, his tactician. It’s a relief to see that Soren is well and alright, but he feels like the mage shouldn’t be here. Soren can very well handle himself, the mercenary knows that well. Maybe he’s just worried about the unknowns this city has.

Well, there was nothing Ike could really do about it as of now. He would just have to deal with the fact that his close friend was stuck in this situation and watch his back ( he’s sure his friend would do the same for him ). Leaning over the other male, Ike offers a tiny smile, making his presence more known to him.

     “Maybe you do always have your nose in a book.”

     “It’s not really safe around here. You should      probably be careful.”

Coming from a time akin to medieval times, it’s no surprise that Ike is baffled at the technology in the city. While it seems like everyone’s gotten the hang of it, Ike has not. He knows transportation clearly isn’t by foot, horse, etc., but it’s still all so very confusing. Which is why he’s using his wooden sword to poke at the wheel of a car. He’s like a caveman who was unfrozen and thrown out into the world.

     “I don’t see why anyone would want to go into      this metal death trap. Or why they’ve made everything      so complicated in this time period.”

     “I’ve been hearing about a group of mercenaries here.      Know anything about them?”

     “Hey, er…”

     “Do you know where I can get something to      eat? I’m sorta new here and I’m still kind of      getting used to the area.”

It’s hard being tall. Mainly because he never really sees who bumps into him until he has to look down. And that’s exactly what happened. Nils wasn’t the tallest person so when Ike bumped into him, it took him a moment for him to actually look down to see if he was alright.

     “Well, that was a lot easier than I expected.”

There was some disappointment in his voice as Ike watched as the thugs ran off. It was disappointing that there wasn’t much of a challenge in the fight, and it’s hard to recreate that feeling he felt when he faced against Zelgius. The flame and excitement he felt whenever he faced him. Then again, it's hard to recreate a feeling like that.

However, that is neither here nor there as he turns towards the other male. Truthfully, they hadn’t really teamed up, more so they just sort of… worked towards the same goal. Both of them didn’t really need to help but it was comforting that there was someone else on the job too.

     “Do you have any idea what they talk about      in this city?”

     “You're… very large.”

He’s clearly the most observant of people. It’s rare for Ike to look up at someone and this time, he has to literally crane his neck up to get a good look at the being before him.

     “Seems like these scientists enjoy dragging      people back here.”

Ike didn’t even stay for long his first run here, but from what he’s observed, it looks like this is a habit of there’s. Bringing people back after they placed them back in their homes. He turns his attention towards the male, a brow raised.

     “You missed your ride.”

     "You know, has it ever occurred to you guys      that not everyone wants to fight in some war?"
