Thereās just something so beautiful about the Forbidden Five to me. No idea how to explain it coherently but they all mean so much to me. I still have my qualms with them though so Iām gonna write my thoughts.
- Let the Forbidden Five kill people
- The Forbidden Five should have gotten more character development and they should have had an actually realistic dynamic for people who have been working together for years, and likely bonded in years of solitude together. People seek comfort in each other when desperate; they should have had a few codependent dynamics. They wouldn't be healthy, but it would be interesting rep of what codependency does to people after years of being trapped together in what is essentially a dark labyrinth.
- Let them have some fun other than killing people! I'm sure that they were dying to do other things once they got out. I can imagine them wanting to try new cuisine after learning about the Merge, or wanting certain clothes, liking certain smells, attending festivals. It would be funny to see villains get sidetracked by the pleasures of life before they wreak havoc. I can imagine that Nokt, Rox, and Kur would be far more focused on the task at hand than having fun, but Drix and Zarkt want to party hard. They like loud celebrations. Drix drags the other three into it and they end up enjoying it.
- Let specifically Kur kill more people. And let Rox cheer her on and taunt the enemy before joining the fight.
- Nokt idk. Heās interesting. I love his smooth voice and bitch personality. Nokt is probably my second least favorite of the Five (my first being Zarkt), but I still absolutely adore him.
- Drix is cool and shouldāve made more clicking noises. And she shouldāve been gender-fluid. He also should have liked the color yellow, give him a yellow bikini or something. #beachepisode
- Zarkt should have been a panther. The unlucky black cat. The master of Misfortune. I donāt glaze Doc Wyatt and I wonāt pretend this was a good decision to make him the random third cousin of Rox and Nokt or whatever. Zarkt also might be a bit of a woman to me but idk. I fuck with trans woman Zarkt heavily.
- Kur is badass and you canāt say āomg slay divaā to her because sheād probably snap your neck. She has a small furry ginger snap terrorist for a lover. Kur is a butch lesbian by all definitions. Kur stinks of rotten corpses and should probably take a shower. Sheās still unbearably handsome. There should be a plot about the other four forcing her to take a bath.
- Rox is like 5 feet tall in-universe (on a good day). Iām 5ā1 and I feel #represented by that little terrorist. The cult leader. Impatient. Sheās really beautiful in a dangerous way. She should have used her powers, but I canāt blame her for the show being a bunch of pussies about it.
- Rox and Kur shouldāve been lovers. Wives. Genuinely married with whatever Wyldness customs they have for it. I doubt they would have yin and yang necklaces, but maybe bones? Maybe they both have fang of a beast they killed or whatever with the otherās name carved into it. Rox would hang it on her belt like a trophy. Kur shoves hers into peopleās flesh. Come on man the ship was right there. Sapphic representation. Please. Itās in my Top 3 Ninjago ships. Villains donāt have real romantic dynamics in the show and itās kind of annoying sometimes. Like, at all. There is nothing.
- Nya and Rox is actually a cool af pairing. Currently reading āMasks To Be Repaired (Or Discarded)ā on AO3 and I canāt help but love it. Both of them baffle each other with the othersā perspective on life. It inspires me to write about the ship and get back on that Kur x Rox grind too.
- Nocturnalshipping, Nokt x Ras. I think him and Ras have smth GAYYY!!! Going on you know what I mean. I like Wildlifeshipping a bit (used to be obsessed but I got over it pretty quick) however, it pales in comparison to the OG enemies and lovers.
- I like Zarkt x Rogue a lot for some reason. I made the pairing. Jay thinks Zarkt is pathetic and deep down Zarkt agrees. Then Jay feels bad about it and buys him a drink.
